my cats go *nuts* when i brush em, chess gets so excited i have to hold him still so i can actually brush him lmao

Omg Lux that's so cute. My Labbie, she used to bring me her brush. She especially loved her baby brush on her belly or the insides of her ears after the deshedder.

With my cats its half and half, like the one that is almost permanently attached to my leg while I'm awake loves brush and waterless shampoo, his sibling looks at you like you have two heads if you even think about it.

Pfffft lol

My one dog LOVES being brushes and if you stop, she'll nudge you and be like wtf. My other dog HATES it. XD She will run if she sees it.
My cats don't really seem to care either way.
