You've heard about it everywhere; the new game called Your Story, where you can create any character and place them in any world.
It's the next best simulator to beat them all, and everyone's playing it!
Disregard the reports on if the AI is too intelligent -- we swear they're just code and pretty models.

Terms of Service:​

All players must abide by these terms of service at all times, as well as general Basilisk Stew terms of service. Your Story retains the right to adjust its terms of service at any time for any reason. By participating within Your Story you are agreeing to these terms.​

​

Players typically have 3 strikes and usually, a broken rule will result in being issued a strike. Severe rule-breaking can result in immediate blacklisting, regardless of how many strikes a player has at the given time.​

​

After a strike is issued a player is placed on a private greylist. They will be unable to participate in any shop matters for 30 days. Once the greylisting is lifted they can return to the shop as normal, although the owners will note their strike privately. Players who show good behavior (lack of further rule-breaking) for 365 days will have a strike removed.​

​

Those who have behaved in a way that warrants removal from the shop will be placed on a public blacklist. This is either accomplished by using up all 3 strikes or behaving in a way the owners deem unsafe or no longer wish to associate/provide any services. Blacklisted players will not lose their characters or the rights to their character, but they cannot sell, swap, or gift their existing characters.​

For ease, all Your Story characters and companions are being referenced as the character’s within this terms of service.​

Ownership Terms:​

These terms apply to any and all characters of Your Story, regardless of acquisition or player’s current membership status. All characters are created by Tea or Nym officially and will be logged publicly within the Homed Character’s/Companion’s thread within the group. No other person can create a character for the shop.​

​

Ownership of a character is deemed officially by the listed player noted in the character’s profile within the Homed Character’s/Companion’s thread. There can only be 1 owner for each character. Ownership changes of any nature (swaps, sale, gift, etc) must be logged in the correct thread to indicate to the shop owners an update is needed for that character’s official profile.​

Once a player officially receives a character from Your Story they retain non-commercial rights to official artwork.​

Characters cannot be forcibly removed from an owner once they are officially owned.​

Conduct Terms:​

All players are held to certain expectations on how to conduct their behavior. These terms apply to any and all players within Your Story using official Your Story means of communication, regardless of where the interaction is had.​

​

All players must remain civil with one another, regardless of relationship. Hate-speech is not tolerated in any capacity within Your Story, additionally.​

​

Behave honestly. Any attempt to cheat will result in immediate disqualification of related activities and often a blacklisting. Players also may only use 1 account to participate within Your Story, and any attempt to acquire characters under another account dishonestly will result in blacklisting.​

​

Players will not deliberately cause drama or negatively influence the community.​

​

Players will not steal any assets of Your Story.​

Any issues should be brought to the owners of Your Story directly.​

Rlc Terms:​

Any character purchased via USD methods from Tea or Nym is considered an RLC Purchase. All RLC Purchases will be invoiced via Paypal. Payment is due within 48 hours unless otherwise specified. Failure to pay may result in the cancellation of the RLC Purchase. Work will not begin until payment is received.​

Your Story will not provide refunds unless the work cannot be completed, or the owners are unreachable for 60 days (attempts must be made by the customer to reach Tea or Nym and must either be via Discord or messaging the Your Story mule on Basilisk Stew).​

​

Your Story reserves the right to deny services and refuse payment from any player for any reason. If Nym or Tea refuses to complete an order they must refund the player.​

Reselling/Gifting/Swapping Characters Terms:​

Only RLC characters (characters purchased via RLC methods) can be sold for USD, which will be noted within the Homed Character’s/Companion’s thread. Sales must be logged within the appropriate thread within the Group for our records. Players may sell their RLC characters for any price they deem fit (what the player feels their character is worth), but they must state what their character was originally purchased for from the shop (which will also be noted within the Homed Character’s/Companion’s thread).​

​

Characters not obtained through RLC sales cannot be sold for any form of real-world money (including cash, gift cards, and other currency methods). They can only be gifted to other players or swapped with another Your Story character.​

​

All characters, whether RLC characters or obtained in other means, can be swapped/gifted for Your Story characters.​

​

All swaps, resales, and gifts must be logged in the appropriate thread(s). Under the table interactions of any sort will result in blacklisting.​

​

Players may not sell, swap, or gift a character not officially logged under their name in the Homed Character’s/Companion’s thread.​

Blacklisted Terms:​

Blacklisted players can not access the shop in any form. They will be unable to speak in official Your Story settings, may not participate in any shop events, sales, or games, and cannot acquire any further Your Story characters. All characters also can no longer be traded, gifted, or sold, and their character’s profiles will indicate this.​

Do not harass anyone on the blacklist, nor pry for details of their blacklisting.​

Welcome to Your Story Inc! Is this your first time? We don’t see a profile under your name, so you must be a new player -- don’t worry, we’ll guide you along the way! Once signed up as a Sponsor you’ll be in charge of the creation of your own characters. You’ll have complete control of their appearance, backstory, location, and more with just the click of your finger. We even provide a large base of customizable parts for free players, all compatible with one another no matter the body you select.​

In Your Story, you have the power to send these AI-controlled characters into any world of your choosing, or even design one of your own! Want to incite chaos and throw them into a zombie-infested dystopian setting? Is high fantasy more your thing? Or are you looking to push them into the soap opera of your dreams? Whatever it may be you are in control, and if you grow bored of it you can transport them as you wish!​

​

Remember that AI we mentioned? Your Story has state-of-the-art AI you won’t find anywhere else -- your characters act just like humans! Disregard the news reports lately questioning if they actually can feel; rest assured that they are just coding on the screen, nothing more! Characters will live out their lives intelligently, developing relationships, contributing to the storyline of their world, reproducing, and aging (if you’ve turned it on!).​

You as a Sponsor can purchase events to place within your world and influence your character (and others)! Some worlds can be locked by Sponsors who created them, while others may be open to the public or invitation-only. Permissions are adjustable by the creator of that world. Are you not the creative type? That’s alright -- we’ve created a few worlds for players to immediately place their characters within. Remember; you aren’t limited to how many worlds or characters you have or play in, so explore at your own whim!​

What It All Means​

Your Story is an adopt/breedable shop that completely puts the power into the player’s hands. The setting is quick and deliberately open: Your Story Inc takes place distantly in the future, where technology has developed to an undisclosed level. The focus is on their servers, which support the creation of unlimited digital worlds where Sponsors create characters and throw them into specific or vague settings. Characters are not directly controlled and instead rely on an advanced AI (that may or may not be fully sentient, we’ll never know) that reacts to the world around them and events the Sponsor may place. ​

​

Some Sponsors prefer to watch their characters without influence, some spend a lot of Tickets (the website’s currency) to mess with the character and world they inhabit, and others are a mixture. There’s no wrong way to play Your Story -- as long as you’re having fun and not hacking then you’re playing the game right! ​

​

Now for you, the player -- you decide the story and setting for your characters. That’s right; everything goes. The standard rules apply; you can’t control other people’s characters or force them to do anything they don’t want to, you still must acquire characters through shop means, and you can’t influence the story of Your Story (which purposefully is vague and not often brought up). Your Story’s purpose is to give the player characters they can use in whatever setting they want. ​

Be free, essentially! Be as detailed or vague as you like! There is no Canon World, there is no Canon Plot, there are no race guides or strict rules on your character’s abilities. Just create. ​

​

Characters are given out in various ways, all you can see below. There are no races/breeds and instead, we have a series of line sets you can mix and match as you please upon winning/ordering a character. You also can, if you won a slot allowing you to, customize and add edits not part of a line set. Bring over your OCs, create new characters, and mix and match to your heart’s desire! ​

Wow, you're ready for a character of your own already? Look at you go! Remember there's an entire community that will help you if you need it, just shout!​

The Basic Base​

Your Story frequently uses lineart for character creation and modifies it as the artists see fit. While unique-lined characters do exist and are released sporadically (and infrequently), the majority of Your Story characters utilize the bases seen above and below. Lineart can be edited when specified and all characters are labeled as.... characters. We do not have official breeds, but players are welcomed to interpret what they'd like. Additionally, the shop does not support the terms mutated or hybrid, as again it lacks official breeds.​

​

Bodies may be edited! Different traits may be added, edits not seen on the provided unedited templates may be added, proportions may be adjusted, and more. All characters will be clothed to cover sensitive areas. ​

​

Sponsors ​

As a Sponsor, you have the ability to create and destroy. Don’t be nervous -- they can’t actually feel, regardless of how convincing our AI might be! Every player is a Sponsor, whether you have Tickets or not. There is no limit to how many characters you have, nor the worlds, although you’ll need a paid subscription if you want a world customized outside of our base templates. Once you’ve placed your character you can influence them with events initiated with Tickets, or you can let them run free and watch the entertainment. Every character is unique, so there is no limit to the shenanigans they might get up to!​

​

Your Story Inc will host Quests, Games, METAs, and more, all of which provide prizes varying from characters with unusual designs, companions for your characters, mock children, and etc! Keep an eye out to see what you can collect and later use for your benefit!​

What This Means For You​

Sponsors are the human behind the chaos. Characters digitally belong to a Sponsor, who they’ll never be aware of (and unless the Sponsor deems it so they’ll never be aware they’re part of a digital world). You can come up with what your Sponsor(s) are like, and for some games or METAs you might even have to, but Sponsors are typically just for in-character flavor.​

​

Sponsors also have a chatroom side of Your Story! They can customize avatars to look like themselves and enter lobbies where their avatars talk to one another. Avatars can be any model and appearance, and we (the creators of Your Story) will not design Sponsor avatars. Chatrooms can take any appearance but are less detailed and less expansive than the worlds for characters -- they're simply there to talk! Obviously, characters cannot enter these chatrooms and have no idea they exist. There will be a forum within the group for Sponsors to interact with one another. ​

Reproduction/Mocks
Egg [1 Week] ↠ Child [2 Weeks] ↠ Adult​

Characters can reproduce in Your Story. Admittedly, you have no control if they do (biologically, at least), but sometimes they might welcome parenthood, or accidentally stumble upon it. Children can appear in almost any manner that fits within your plot/world/setting, however, we at Your Story Inc do not allow violent reproductions (it is a bannable offense, don’t be gross!). Children will age/be created in whatever manner the parent(s) worlds let them, although there are rules on how the character(s) will look like.​

​

Up to three characters can reproduce together, biologically. These children are genetically related to their parents! They’ll have colors and traits like their parents. Sometimes characters might reproduce during a particularly strange time that affects the appearance of their kids! This is a rare occurrence and will be noted on the website when it’s happening.​

​

Creating a character takes time -- especially when it’s the combination of other characters. When a character reproduces the Sponsor will see under their profile within their account an Egg. The Egg will have colors/markings that the eventual child will have, but otherwise, they’re a placeholder as the code catches up! The Egg will eventually hatch into a Child or Adult, whichever fits within your setting!​

​

Parents do not need to be of the same world, although they must have had direct contact with one another in some way. Your Story allows for a multitude of reasons character(s) might intercept worlds!​

Mocks​

Do you want to see what your character would look like mixed with another? Has your character not reproduced yet, doesn’t want to, or has no way of meeting said other characters? Whatever the reason is, Mocks exist! Mocks mix up to three characters and create a brand new one, with no ties to their inspired “parents!” The “parents” will not experience pregnancy, nor will their profile have an Egg -- your Mock will appear shortly after submitting the request!​

What This Means For You​

Characters can multiply in two ways: biological reproduction or via mock breeding. Biological reproduction creates children from up to three parents, while mocks mix up the designs of up to three characters and creates a fully grown character with no genetic ties to the “parents”.​

​

In the world of Your Story, characters will decide on their own if they reproduce, using any method allowed within Basilisk Stew and Your Story. While the story of how your characters reproduced and developed their family is up to you, every breeding will be represented the same artistically. Art-wise, all children start as an Egg. Eggs can either grow into a Child or straight into an Adult depending on what the players selected when they won the breeding (or rules the breeding slots had).​

​

Mock breedings are non-biological and the “parents” have absolutely no idea about the resulting creation. They skip the Egg stage and appear as a Generation 1 character. This option is great for those who just want to mix their characters without any in-story reasons or relations.​

​

Breeding numbers vary depending on the slots offered:​

• All breedings will have as many Eggs/mock babies as there are owners participating as a minimum [1-3 Eggs/Mocks].
• Most breeding slots will also add the option to add an Egg/mock baby if the owners promise to give the extra to a Newbie (a username must be provided prior to winning the slot) or game off the extra. [+1 Egg/Mock]

A few notes on breedings:​

• Any forced forms of reproduction are banned
• All breedings, whether mock or biological, must use the Permissions Thread to indicate all owners agreed to enter for the breeding
• Any offspring cannot be given to blacklisted players

Acquiring​

Characters can be acquired through Custom Creation, Reproducting/Mocks, Events/Games, and more! In Your Story you never are out of options, whether you’re a free player or a Ticket holder!​

What This Means For You​

Characters are given out in a multitude of ways:​

• Events and Games: Sporadically an event or game will be thrown in the main thread or in the official Group. Prizes are either characters or companions and can come in many forms. Make sure to read each Game/Event entirely!
• Breedings: Both artists will have a Breeding Thread that they’ll open and close when either are available. There also may be special breeding events/threads placed with unique terms and rules, so be sure to keep an eye on the Group and join the Discord!
• Customs: Both artists will have a Custom Thread that they’ll open and close when either are available. There also may be special custom events/threads placed with unique terms and rules, so be sure to keep an eye on the Group and join the Discord!
• RLC Purchases (real-life currency): Characters can be customed or bred using real-life currency (USD). Both artists will have a joint thread where player’s RLC orders can be submitted at all times, whether their Breeding or Custom thread is open or not. You’ll be quoted if an order is taken! There will also be a channel in the Discord for flash sales of premade/prelined characters who are unique in some way!

As there are only two artists for Your Story and the shop is intended as a more relaxed setting for both, chances to acquire new characters will come and go based on their availability.​
