There are a few exceptions and rules scattered for the various breeds, which can get pretty confusing without a log. This is another guide directly taken from the staff guide.
If a breed isn't on the list then they do not have special rules.

  • General Template Usage;
    • Do not mix templates between stages, regardless if a mystic or not. This means do not use foal templates on adults, or adults on awakened, etc etc.
    • If a foal template is missing a template their adult version has it is typically on purpose, meaning the foals grow into that edit once an adult.
    • If an awakened template has an edit the standard adults don't it is intentional. They got fancier!
    • Some breeds have special eyes not seen on any other breed file. Those eyes are breed specific but that breed is not locked to that design or style. For instance, anyone with the default changeling eye is a changeling, but changelings can have different eye shapes and styles. Additionally, those with default eyes that lack pupils can have them and those that have them can remove them without being a mystic.
    • Anime/cartoony/shaped eyes can be allowed without being a curiosity as long as it's clearly expressing emotion, like heart eyes or shiny stars.
    • Scars, cuts, wounds, and the like do not count as curiosities, but please keep them within the shop's no extreme gore (hanging out guts, mass amount of blood, etc) rules.
    • Physical disabilities (such as missing tails or limbs) aren't curiosities, but they must be labeled clearly. They should also have some kind of visual indicator, whether prosthetics, scarring, remnants of limbs, etc. Please also refrain from making before/after images and know that whatever feature they did have (if the disability came from an accident) cannot be a curiosity and will not pass in breeding.
    • For breedings, any bow can be used regardless of breed. The charms are breed specific!

  • Abyssal:
    • Torn sections can vary in amount. Artists may add or erase a few tears as they see fit!
    • Fins can be transparent or opaque.

    • Custom spectral hair and "fetlocks" should be lineless and smokey in shape.
    • "Fetlocks" are optional.

  • Changeling:
    • Artists cannot mix 2d and 3d holes for non-mystic ponies.

    • Animal Morph parts can have holes without making them a mystic.

    • If orb is damaged there must be a note upon drop that, in lore, the kitsune will struggle to use their breed magic and have a weak immune system.
    • They must always have at minimum 2 tails if not a mystic. They can have at maximum 6 tails if not a mystic.
    • Fluff/fur can be added to animal morphs to match the body's fluff level if desired. It does not have to be added.

    • Do not mix the bases (slime, jelly, gummy), regardless if mystic or not.
