These rules encompass all standard breedings unless otherwise notified. Some events and artist threads may have different rules, which will be noted within their respective threads.

• Do not tinker with provided forms, unless otherwise requested.
• Forms should be posted within the relevant thread.
• Send payment upon confirmation of a win. Artists will not begin work until paid. The shop operates on a pay-what-you-want system, focusing on Basilisk Stew credits.
• Porri must be adults and certed before they can breed.
• Breedings can skip the kit stage and go straight to adults after starseeds/newborns are posted if players wish.
• Artist threads/events will note if the litter will start as a starseed or newborn, or allow for players to choose.
• Edits are not guaranteed to pass. Players should check event/thread rules before entering.
• Characters created using only templates are considered unedited, while those with unique-to-them edits are considered edited. Some slots may prioritize one or the other, or enforce unedited children regardless of the level of edits the parents have. Please double-check all rules before entering.
• Edits are not saved for future use, and thus will not be exactly the same on future children.
• There are no gender restrictions for breeding.
• Poly-breedings can have up to 4 characters involved at once.
• All breeding requests must have a breeding permission done if there are more than 1 player involved.
• Players can keep 1 starseed/newborn per breeding, unless AP from their bank is spent.
• Not all artists or slots will allow the usage of AP, or limit Extra Child spending. Please read all rules before entering.
• Once a litter is dropped, players must use the Pick and Claims feature before they'll grow again.
• Contact moderators if other owners in a breeding are not responding to homing attempts after a month,
• All links and uncerts used must be from the official shop server.

Below is a list of standard breeding slots one can expect to see. Some colorists might choose to run a method different than usual.

Surprise: Characters involved are paired with an NPC character, giving artists room to imagine an unknown parent influencing the children's designs.​

Mixer: All characters are entered into a pool, where artists choose which parents breed together.​

​

Planned: A standard breeding where all parents involved have already been planned to breed. Requires a breeding permission.​

​

Vivid: Opting into these breedings means children might have colors, markings, or traits none of their parents have! Depending on the additional types of breeding involved, they might need breeding permissions.​

​

RLC: A breeding purchased via real-life currency from artists approved to take RLC. These slots will be located in specific artist threads or hosted on the Discord. Depending on the additional types of breeding involved, they might need breeding permissions.​

​

In addition, breedings can be In-Character (IC), or Out-Of-Character (OOC). The decision if a breeding is IC or OOC is made either when a breeding permission is agreed to, or noted in the rules of breeding events/artist threads.

The guide below is exclusively for non-RLC breedings and based on standard breedings.

Litter Sizes:

• Up to 4 parents can breed together at one time
• At minimum, there will usually be enough children for each player involved.
• RNG may give extra children.
• If the slots permit, players may spend AP to affect the breeding.
• The max amount of children possible is 6, and can never be exceeded.
• Staff will RNG publicly the number of children.

All information here will be under the assumption that the thread or event entered follows standard rules. Please read all information pertaining to artist threads and events, as there may be unique circumstances.

Vivid breedings surpass all the rules below and allow for entirely random litters.

Colors:

• Colors will come from somewhere on the parents' body, and are not limited to being used in the same region as their parents.
• Colors do not mix to create new colors — if a blue parent breeds with a red parent, they typically do not produce a purple child.
• Eye colors can be any color, even ones not on the parents.
• Hair patterns have wiggle room in design and are not expected to match parents directly.
• Colors from more minor markings can be used on larger parts of the body, and vice versa.
• Markings can combine and mix together, within reason.

Edits and Templates:

• Templates on parents will not be RNG'd to determine where they go on children. Artists each have their own style, and may either use the same templates as the parents for children, or similar ones.
• Edited characters do not directly pass their edits on as is. All children from edited characters will have their own redraw of the edit (if they even have edits), and often with a unique twist that fits all parents involved.
• Edit levels of children will attempt to find a middle ground between the parents' edit levels.
• Breedings between mixed levels of unedited and edited parents will not guarantee that every child is edited.
• Some artists do not do edited breedings, and will make any edited parents have unedited/templated children should players win a breeding in their thread.

 

[Nym]

Dreambean breedings are far simpler and can be defined in an easy-to-understand list.

• Dreambeans can freely breed with other types of dreambeans.
• Hybrid dreambeans do not exist. Children will be one dreambean or another.
• Up to 4 parents can breed together.
• There is no newborn stage for dreambeans. They come as adults.
• There will be as many dreambeans as players by default, with no RNG rolls. AP can raise the limit. There can still only be 6 to a breeding in total.
• Players do not need to utilize the Pick and Claims system for dreambeans.
• Dreambeans do not get certed. It is up to players to log relevant information if they wish.

Breedings paid for by real-life currency are called RLC Breedings. They have a few rules of their own, some additional and others replacing previous rules.

• Some artists are allowed to take RLC and can launch sales on the Discord and/or have slots open within their artist thread.
• Send payment upon confirmation of a win. Artists will not begin work until paid.
• Pricing is up to the individual artist.
• AP cannot be used in RLC breedings.
• Do not bribe artists. Utilize their artist thread (if they host RLC sales here), or within their Discord sales.
• All other breeding rules apply.
