⨳ Faction Credit Bank & Spending

When you turn in an activity to a faction, you gain two things: the player earns some kind of credit appropriate to the faction, and the character themselves earn goodwill with the same faction. The rewards from turn-ins are used to buy items from each faction, and you can spend your funding on whatever you'd like for whatever character you'd like, so don't worry if you need to buy supplies before sending someone out in the wilderness. You can earn it with someone else if you need to! Character goodwill, on the other hand, is just a measure of how well that faction likes that character, and belongs to the character(s) that completed a task alone. This isn't used as often, but it may affect the way some factions react to characters during important shop plots and events. Be warned: depending on the current level of tension between factions, gaining approval with one might lower your standing with another...

To see how much funding you have with each faction, check the bank sheet below! To check how much goodwill your character has with a faction, check the character roster instead.

If you'd like to make a purchase, fill out the appropriate form from the desired shop and post it in this thread. Orders will be processed in the order received, so we'll let you know if a limited item goes out of stock when we get to your form.

Fairlight Co.

Fairlight Company greatly appreciates those who choose to donate their time and effort towards their work, and they happily reward research and exploration finds. Since all of their liquid assets are definitely going towards construction and expansion of Doveport, they don't offer any sort of monetary rewards, however. Instead, Fairlight issues Promissaries in-lieu-of Payment, more commonly referred to simply as pips. These can be exchanged with the Fairlight Quartermaster for various supplies; most of their offering consists of items useful for catching and obtaining pokémon, though they are known to stock a few other perhaps off-the-books things now and then...

United Research Associates

The URA, being a research group, is rather habitually underfunded and makes this very clear in their negotiations with non-contracted or salaried individuals. However, they also do very much understand the benefit in having more bodies in the field, and have also devised a trade system for eager associates. Those working for the URA will, instead of money, simply gain credit with them. These credits can be exchanged for a portion of the association's findings. They may not have a large quantity of offshore supplies like Fairlight has to sell, but they carry a selection of items catered towards pokémon evolution as well as items to make exploring safer and a bit more comfortable. They also have a rotating stock of experimental items designed to make pokémon more powerful!

"Hello! Are you part of the research crew? I've got some things here that might help you out - just let me get your name so I can look up how many credits you've earned with us, okay?!"

Viridian City Academy

Unlike the other two factions on Nauwill, Viridian City Academy is actually quite well funded and as such, actually pays cash for discoveries! While its research isn't as in-depth as the others, having access to discoveries means plenty of material for their scholars to work on, not to mention it gives bargaining chips for the other factions. After all, being able to publish material and for their alumni to have their names on said material is excellent for their reputation and image, so it's quite important to them. They do also however run a small pokémart - just in case you need to blow some of that hard earned cash.

For ease and simplicity, we will use the $ abbreviation for money.
