Money talks, even in the world of Misc. However, the ... way it talks is a little more, well, wibbly than in other realities. Value is relative in a world where you can find ancient ruins alongside cyberpunk utopias, and why wouldn't it be? So the figments of the world have come up with a simple solution: all the money's the same.

What?

Well, that's the idea, anyway. There's only one currency, and it's called a "piece." A piece of what? Now you're thinking too hard. Anyway, there's just one currency, the piece, and it's made of crystallized imagination-stuff, usually residue left over in wish jars that didn't form whims. Figments charge whatever they think is fair for just about anything, but the general understanding is that anything that can be bought with pieces you can hold in one paw is pretty cheap, and nothing should ever cost more than a hundred pieces, because that's just a silly amount to count. Most places that employ figments pay two piece an hour, and--

Look, we're getting ahead of ourselves. You were promised ice cream, not an economy lecture, right? Right. Anyway, all that's to say that an ice cream usually costs one piece. It doesn't matter if it's a fancifully huge sundae or a tiny little melty pile of gunk on a stick - an ice cream is an ice cream, and a piece is a piece. Why would it cost anything else? That's silly. You're silly.
