🞿 Roleplay & Rewards

While they may not be expeditions, roleplays are just as important for developing characters and bonds between both them and pokémon! For that reason, doing RPs also rewards currency, although with a limitation on how much can be earned in a certain span of time.

Currency is earned at a rate of one point per 250 words; a minimum of 250 words is required from every player involved in order to claim the points. A roleplay can be ended even if not all players hit the goal, but only those that hit the minimum can get currency.

You are only eligible to claim up to 100 currency from RP per month. This is inclusive of faction, meaning if you claim 50 Fairlight pips, you can only claim a max of 50 United Research credits.

Remember that even though words are earned at 250 per point, you must write 500 words yourself in order to claim an RP as a rank up requirement!

What to roleplay?​

You can write whatever you'd want that fits within universe, really. Most will probably take place around the city of Doveport (until further safe zones are established), but you are also allowed to write things like camping out during an Expedition if you'd like. You can write with your characters in solo RPs or you can write with others in collaborative stories.

A Few Scenario Ideas​

• Training sessions with battle pokémon.
• Bonding time with pokémon.
• Working on any kind of poké-goal - thinking up contest performances, figuring out how to cook together, mastering new moves, daily exercises, etc!
• Visiting some of Doveport's few amenities - the Enrichment Center often has movie and game gatherings for residents, and there's a beauty salon, a couple of restaurants, and a few other shops starting to pop up now and then.
• Hanging out at the beach plaza, eating some pizza!
• Interpersonal drama! We can't provide more than that though - you're on your own to figure out the details.

What Can't I Roleplay?​

• Encountering any legendary pokémon, unless directed by a meta plot.
• Catching pokémon, unless you already own the art (through an event or RLC) and it's a known native species.
• Encountering wild pokémon that aren't known to be native.
• Acquiring eggs, unless you've had one dropped to you.
• Detailed sexual encounters or descriptions. If the pants are dropping, take it to DMs, please!
• Killing or severely injuring (read: disfiguring or permanently injuring) another player's character or pokémon without their permission.
• Killing or severely injuring NPC humans or owned pokémon. For wild pokémon, things happen - especially when something is trying to eat you.
