Character Overview:

A sleepy, chronically ill, occult loving artist/event planner/funeral director, Al moved to Doveport partially for the Inspiration, partially to oversee any funerals that need doing, and partially to avoid his immediate family. Once there he realised their wasn't really anyone who planned ceremonies or events at all. Oh they can fix that.

Five Likes:

• Life
  Despite her morbid tendencies, Al genuinely enjoys life. Okay maybe not on a bad flare day, but. Life is a gift and should be celebrated.
• Variety
  People and pokemon come in so very many varieties. That's amazing and should be respected. They might not understand, but they can respect. Mostly.
• Routine
  When you are constantly fighting for control of your health, routine becomes key. Al knows that better than most but also finds routine soothing and structured.
• The Occult
  There's plenty of rumours about ghost pokemon being the spirits of the deceased. Of God like pokemon. And pokemon themselves are still a mystery in many cases! Isn't that /fascinating???/. Rumours and mysteries, cryptids and magic!
• Ceremony
  Look she's in the funeral business originally sure, because treating the deceased with dignity is Important, but there's a lack of any kind of event or ceremony planners in Doveport. So he's branching out! Which. Event planning is awesome.

Five Dislikes:

• Deliberate Rudeness
  Al finds people who don't respect other people, other people's traditions, or are generally rude or dismissive just because it doesn't suit them.....well...he won't show it as he's a consummate professional. But oh boy does their blood boil.
• Art Block
  THE WORST. Does he need to explain????
• Overt Emotions
  Yeah Al is mostly a calm, almost placid type. He knows how to deal with grief professionally but in her personal life? Emotions are HARD.
• Naysayers
  It might take them longer. It might cause them to crash out later. They might need a mobility aid. They might struggle. But Al has never let their illness stop them from attaining what they want yet. He knows people are trying to help but. Negativity is not welcome.
• Cold weather
  just....no. even without the added pain and chance of flare ups.

Hobbies:

Besides the event planning and associated hobbies such as floristry and cosmetics, Al is a keen creative artist who dabbles in most mediums but is happiest with sculpture and oil painting.

History:

Born in Lavender Town, the spectre of death has held great importance to Al since the day he was born, sickly and infirm. It took time, anger, grief and frequent trips to therapy and the hospital, but Al has determined that its not how long you live, but what you do with it. How people remember you, what good you do with the time you've got.

Also if his family could get on board with that idea and stop wrapping her in cotton wool that'd be great, thanks.
