Character Name: Emma Morel
Pronoun Choice: She/Her
Age: 59
Home Region: No Stable Home
Personality Overview:
With a job that demands both time and travel, the current co-head of United Research Associates' Nauwill branch has little time for much in the way of hobby, but she wouldn't have it any other way. Overworked and always under stress trying to defend their case in the new region against those that would put profit before preservation, but always ready to be pleasant to those that care. Just ... hurry to your point. Please.

Three Strengths:
Knowledge
- Emma is a top researcher and has lead studies dealing with a variety of topics related to the biology of plant and pokémon alike.
Scheduling
- Her career has made her both depend on technological assistance and rather good at organising both her and her husband's duties on a day to day basis. This skill has more uses than one might think on the surface.
Charismatic
- When she actually has time for public appearances, it's clear why she was put in as the face of URA's Nauwill division. Not only does she have a way with words, she has a conviction behind them that makes many people want to listen to the topic at hand.
Three Weaknesses:
No Time
- Louis' busy parents can barely stop to feel the guilt they share over missing so many important parts of their son's life, much less the guilt they share by sending him on errands as soon as he was barely able, and if they didn't even have time for him ...
Scatterbrained
- When tech fails to remind, it's easy to forget human things like eating or hydrating when she's got so many other, more important things to do.
Overworked
- Though she won't admit it, Emma has absolutely lived her life overworked and under severe stress. It's deteriorated her health somewhat, though still not as badly as other situations might have left her.
History:
Since she was young, she's been working for the United Research Associates. That's been nearly her whole life since, travelling from area to area and returning to others in order to study her life away. Not only has so much of it been devoted to preserving historic culture and lore for many regions, as well as perhaps even more importantly the domestic flora and fauna of all, but her career has led to many other "fascinating" discoveries - like her partner in all things, her beloved husband Arthur ... oh, and her son Louis, of course. Other than that? Well, she knows damned well that some less than scrupulous folk find her research "bunk" or "overdramatic", but she always has at least one up on them: if that were so, how could she have co-authored more than one of the most valued academic papers on the subject of pokémon preservation and population available?
Pokémon races though ... she might have time to watch one or two of those.

Five Likes:
- keeping up on trends, even if she can't indulge
- pokémon races
- that rush of having devoted so much time to something and finally getting a much needed breakthrough
- pokémon that can communicate - that's made parts of her studies so much easier
- those excruciatingly rare moments she can spend NOT talking about work
Five Dislikes:
- dead ends in her studies
- having missed a good chunk of her son's life due to work constraints
- those quiet moments she realizes she doesn't really have a home or much of a life outside her career
- since moving to Nauwill, all the tensions of trying to hurriedly preserve the untouched beauty
- people that don't listen to reason
Hobbies:
- Reading (mostly fantasy!)
- ... secretly keeping up with fan-fiction, though
- Solving puzzles that have nothing to do with work
