Character Name: Fujita Eiji
Pronoun Choice: He/Him
Age: 26
Home Region: Sevii Islands - One Island

Personality Overview:
Eiji thinks he's a little fish acting like a big fish in a big pond, but in reality he's a minnow in the ocean. He does his best to hide his background and lack of formal education through replication of things he found appealing in media, but the truth is he knows he's floundering inside. He's starry eyed and terrified all at the same time in this whole new world. While he comes off a little awkwardly because of the clashing mix of trying to seem cool while also being entirely out of his depth, the truth is, he's a good kid at the core - he's still got a huge sense of wonder about the world, and he genuinely likes to help others. It's just, that's not cool, and the last thing he wants to be seen as is some kind of weird nerd from nowhere!

History:
The youngest son of a large, rural fishing family in the Sevii islands, Eiji has never really seen much of a future in the path his bloodline set out for him. After all, when the family business didn't even need more hands to tie knots in broken nets, what could he possibly hope to gain as last in line to inherit anything? Not that there was ever really much to inherit; the business kept them fed and kept a roof over their heads, but offered little in the way of excitement or opportunity. School has never much been of interest to him, either; he finished what he had to and that was that. Everything considered, it's left him with a sense of listlessness and uncertainty, so when the news about a new region - along with all the potential for wealth and growth that colonization offered - hit his town, Eiji immediately felt a spark inside him. Whether a genuine interest or a simple free ticket off the islands, who could tell? And more to the point, what did it matter - because he took the opportunity and hit the ground running to get out of there as quickly as possible.
