Louis Morel is an intelligent, resourceful, and sharp-witted competitive trainer that has won tournaments in other regions. His social skills are a bit lacking, however, and he's more than comfortable enough remaining quiet and letting others talk in social situations. Doesn't really mind anything as long as he feels part of the group and can be brought out of his head under the right circumstances, as his rival-turned-boyfriend found out.
His pokémon partners include Vauld the inteleon, Raspberry Sours the Nauwillian bulbasaur and Anise the sentret.

History:
Born to two overworked, underprepared parents, young Louis lacked attention from the beginning. For an education, however, was out of the question. Given his first pokémon partner at the age of three, a sobble named Vauld, he was nevertheless raised the best way his parents knew how. What precious time off they did have was spent filling the boy with the science and survival training they themselves accumulated over the years.
In their minds it was necessary, but as he grew toward young adulthood it left Louis' social hours preciously few and far between.
As though it weren't hard enough to make friends, those same parents crushed his dreams again when they were forced to relocate for their work, in turn forcing Louis to abandon his Kalosian friends (and potential interests). It was an experience that would repeat itself into his later teens and ultimately become the killing blow to any outgoing personality he might have been developing.
Not that it would have mattered much. Starting in his later teens, Louis followed in his parents' footsteps, officially becoming a member of the United Research Associates in order to start a long, ever continuing chain of running errands for his folks - putting his survival and training skills to the test since.

- Louis spent most of his late teen to present life training, taking notes, and pursuing higher ground in the field.

- Having spent a good part of his life outdoors and alone, he has become adept at being self-sufficient, living off the land and wary his surroundings.
- Open-Mindedness
- Louis is quiet but open to new places, new faces, and new dishes, which also makes him incredibly easy-going in those regards … and others.
Three Flaws:
- Wants a Home
- Despite his desire to overcome challenges and push himself and his team to new heights, Louis has a deeper desire - to belong. Those lonely nights get ever lonelier when he's on his own, in that human kinda way - but can't stop, won't stop. Gotta be the best.
- Difficult to Say No
- The somewhat shy, little bit reclusive boy found it difficult to make friends with anyone, mostly due to his continually moving around, and even to present day finds it difficult to be the one to disagree in hopes it will make him more approachable and easy to like.
- Competitive Streak
- Louis' competitive streak mostly appears in new and difficult challenges, but sometimes that spark can make him take on more than he can really handle.
