Personality Overview: Lan is a calm self confident young man, who has dug himself out of a hole and while not satisfied where it ended up, still has choices to decide where it ends. He is calm and firm, using using body language to get his point across. A tip of his head, a sharp look in his eyes, and a purse of his lips as he glances down at them, tends to get the point across well enough. You have been found wanting and not worthy to him even speaking his thoughts. Grace and poise is the name of the game, off-balance them all and gain it for himself. His eyes show a barely contain ruthless glimpse, he will destroy all that gets in his way.

Confident- Lan is a strong willed individual, he knows his strengths and skills and how to apply them to what he wants. Failure happens, and he accepts them with grace and poise and continue on. He knows who he is and what he wants and refuses to let others shake him.
Bold- Lan pushes, seeking and climbing and prodding to gain what he wants and what he needs. He is upfront, meeting danger and taking the risks and making them work.
Relaxed- Lan remains a easiness, a calmness through crises. Almost as if he is floating through the tough spot. He knows there are better days ahead, there is no point worrying about what can not be changed at the moment.

Disorganized- Lan does not have a system, his area is a mess and he likely going to have to through various papers and scribbled on receipts to find what ever it is he needs.
Defiant- Lan hates orders, hates mindless obeying, being a cog in a wheel. He won't go against his own principles, what few he has.
Insensitive- Lan can be terribly blunt, not bothering to consider other people feeling in his remarks.
History:
Born in Johto in Mahogany Town, Lan parents separated when he was rather young. His parent struggling under their own failed dreams was not the greatest and when Lan hit 13 he disappeared gladly into the woods with his first pokemon and his closest friend Kennedy.
While they didn't get to be a champion, Lan and Kennedy ended up with a neat little protection/guide racket in the more wild and dangerous part of Johto. Enough to live on and became a bit of a known name. Wanting something more, the pair applied for a sponsorship from Fairlight marketing themselves as survivalist's.
