[CLOSED] Future Thoughts + Plots

Here we see the beginnings of a story of two cats:
Rowan, a carelessly relaxed tomcat who doesn't care for kits or fatherhood. Willow, a she-cat who thought she was finding true love only to find herself a single mother of four. These two cats came together for a time and Rowan was happy to entertain Willow while she stuck around, while failing to tell her that he wasn't interested in any sort of commitment. In Rowan's eyes, it was Willow's choice that she stuck around so long to spend her time with him and he certainly wasn't going to refuse a pretty she-cat who wanted to lay beside him. Willow, meanwhile, may be hesitant to reach out to Rowan for help in parenting the kits, but they may yet work out an arrangement of shared parenting between them. We'll have to wait and see what's to come next, a part that you have a part in playing.

The first and second kits in the image above are owned by belloblossom and Nym respectively, but the third and fourth kit are still seeking homes. The way to enter for one of these kitten is easy: tell me about the kitten in question that you'd like to enter for! This is a judged plot contest. There's something that some of you have noticed about one of these kittens - one of them is dead! The first kitten listed above unfortunately did not live past their kitten stage, but it's up to you to decide how long they lived. As their parents are a kittypet and a loner, this kit will be a Ghost and reside in the Wild Wood. To read more about what this entails, please look at the Death and Death Points thread for guidance. With their loss of life, how do they feel about their 'life' as a Ghost? Do you have any plans for their future, or will they be set to wander in limbo forever?

Their sibling with the shorter tail is yet living! A loner kitten that will be going with their mother and two siblings, what life do they want to lead when they're older? They will have the opportunity to be occasionally kitsit (babysat) by their father while their mother goes out hunting, but he won't be as hands on as Willow will be. Will the difference of their parents impact them into adulthood? I want to know all the ideas you have for them!

Rules
1. Anyone can enter for these kits, regardless of whether you're a newbie to the shop, a longtime player, or staff!
2. The naming theme for these kits are Spooky and/or Trees. Do keep in mind that they are still loners and are held in the loner naming constraints. So a name like Spider would be acceptable, but something like Onyx would not be.
3. You may enter for both kits, but only win one.
4. These kits will start out as loners, but once they reach their adolescent stage, they can remain as loners, or adventure out into the world if they so choose.​

Kit Name: Cypress
Kit Gender: Female
Plot Ideas:
1. Roaming the Wild Woods & interacting with other Ghosts: At first, Cypress didn't understand why she was alone and stumbled around until she found other ghosts. The other ghosts informed her of her death and what she was but she still didn't fully understand. Not until she found a puddle and saw her living family.

2. Turning from Ghost to Eclipsed: The longer she looked at the puddle and saw her family, the more Cypress began to resent the fact that she was cheated out of her life. She did not understand why fate had been so cruel to her and started to develop her own cruelty out of spite for the living. Eventually she begins to act on that cruelty until she finds herself Eclipsed.

3. Tormenting her family: As an Eclipsed cat, Cypress' hate is the only thing she feels other than hunger. It has become her mission to wreck havoc on her living family by visiting members in their dreams and sowing seeds of distrust and discourse among them, especially with her father who she hates the most with his pampered life.

Plot Ideas:
1. For some reason Grave is absolutely obsessed with every detail about his somewhat absent father Rowan. He is always begging Willow to take him to the twoleg nest. Even when Rowan wants nothing to do with him, Grave follows him around happily mewing for attention, never giving the tom a moment of rest or alone time until Willow scruffs him and leaves.

2. Grave is always on the move and can be a lot to handle on the best of days. One day he decides that he's going to go visit Rowan on his own and gets terribly lost in the suburbs. After a long adventurous day of trying to find home, he eventually finds a spot behind a fence and cries until a parent or sibling finds him. Bonus points if he also ropes a sibling into visiting dad and get's lost with him.

3. Escape from the twoleg nest! Grave and either a parent or sibling get snatched up by a twoleg while Grave is being the little hassle that he is. Together the two of them have to escape the house next to Rowan's while the twolegs are out (they went to by cat food for their new cats). Or not, maybe one of them decides to stay.

Plot Ideas:
Clinging to what she 'knows' - basically trying anything to be seen, heard, loved and struggling with the fact that she is dead and she can't be with her family. Not in the same way.

Teenage aggression - stemming from the struggle, she becomes angry all the time, like an angsty teen, unable to think clearly, not really knowing what she wants but quick to say nothing makes her happy. She becomes dangerously close to stepping fully into the dark forest.

Revenge is not kosher - through help from other wild wood cats to bring her back to the 'light', she realizes this path isn't want she wanted. She wants out before its too late. If she can't be physically there with her family, she at least wants to be able to watch over them from afar and delight in their moments of happiness.

Kit Name: Haunt
Kit Gender: Wraith (if not acceptable, Hollow)
Plot Ideas:
Silence - Haunt seems unusually quiet, not that he can't speak, but a lot of the times he chooses not too. He listens, a lot, watching and taking in everything. He likes to stick to shadows, creeping a long and staying hidden and emerging when least expected.

You are my father? - Haunt is equally distant but curious about his father, seeming to just sit and stare at the older tom when spending time with him, as if he is trying to peer into the very soul of Rowan. Who is this male? How does he function? What makes his brain tick?

Protective - Haunt is very protective of his mother and siblings, especially given the fact that one of his siblings passed on. While he can't see them or hear them, he vows to protect even them and would shed blood where necessary. He would stay near them as long as they allowed him too, living his own life but returning if called, no matter the reason.

Plot Ideas:
- Fright got her name because she gave her mother a fright. As the last born, and the one before her having passed, the dark little kit was so quiet and still that it seemed as if she had passed on too... Until she moved. Just slightly. But she was still so small compared to the others, so it was hard to tell if she'd make it. All through kit hood she would be small and frail, and deathly quiet, earning her name. "You gave me such a fright!!"

- Seemingly wise beyond her years, Fright is always watching. She watches over her older siblings as they tumble. She watches over her mother, who frets about her kits. She watches over her father, knowing the little details he keeps from their mother. She's a watcher but not a talker, instead keeping these things to herself. Simply observing. Perhaps one day, as she grows older and understands what a healthy relationship is supposed to be, she'll let all the little secrets she's held in go.

- She keeps quiet, but as she grows older, she gets glimpses of the other side. She confides in her uncle, Wisp, as he tends to her most often. She learns she can see and interact with spirits. Maybe she even sees her deceased sibling. Will she ever tell her mother? We don't know. She will wait to see if it will affect her mother negatively. If so, she won't share the info. If it seems it will help her mother, then she will.

- Interactions with other spirit cats outside of her family. Fright wants to help them feel more at peace. She will start to take on a calling of talking to those who have passed on behalf of the living, and vice versa. She wants to ease the burden cats may feel for those who have passed. Reassure them their loved ones are all right.

- Perhaps she has spats with her siblings over the passed. Maybe they don't believe her like others do. She is outcasted by her siblings, which is what pushes her closer to her aunts and uncles. And the tension of telling her mother about their deceased sibling strains her relationship with her mother. She feels awkward because she knows the truth. That there is an afterlife. And she can't be certain her mother will be consoled knowing that.

- Separation from her family. Not an intentional one. Perhaps she wanders in the night to talk to spirits, and grows lost. She has to fend for herself until she can find her way back home. She makes either friends or enemies, or both, along the way.

1. Sequoia doesn't understand wh mom feels so far away. where is she? she wants to learn more about the wild wood and how to get back home
2. Sequoia realizes she can't get back home and is tired of tring to find pudles to find her family. she meets bristletongue
3. Bristletongue warns Sequoia about getting too close to the dark forest, and how the kit should remain in the wild wood, even though Sequoia calls Bristletongue her mom now. Bristletongue emands for Sequoia to seek Warmgaze to have him raise her instead

1. she lives up to her name, though she's the one scared of everything. she's the youngest and has to learn to fend for herself
2. tired of being the fragile and anxious one of the group, scare decides to wander away from home, in hopes to become a big and strong cat
3. scare ends up becoming a stong cat and has her own territory

- I'd eventually get him Spirit Interaction, he'd be that odd kid who talks to dead things
- Has a strange obsession with bones, keeps all of them from his kills
- Will eventually go find his grandfather and work for him, regardless of if Bone Keeper wants him to or not lol

- Feels trapped, looks desperately for a way to get back to momma
- Feels drawn to Bone Keeper, as they share blood. First living person he's able to talk to
- If he can't get into sunclan or the dark forest, he will stay around
