Things seemed to be going so well for MountainClan. Yes, the prey was still tricky to find, but the hunting seemed to be going easier. The Clan was adapting to hunting in the destitute land they called home. They had a leader now, who would surely lead them towards a better future. Rainbowfish and Silverstreak's kits had grown to apprentices, surely they would grow into fine warriors - and a fine medicine cat - to support MountainClan further. Everything seemed to be going as well as could be hoped, even with the loss of their dear friend and companion, Thistlefur, a few moons earlier. In fact... it almost seemed as though things were going too well.
Even with the cats of MountainClan going out to hunt day after day, the prey pile never seemed to be big enough to fill every belly. Some cats would offer their prey to the new life of the Clan, while others were determined not to see any more elders lose their lives. Between the sharing of prey and the compassion of MountainClan to their Clanmates, cats would hope that it would be enough. They were trying so hard, and they seemed to get so far, but in the end... three cats would die in days to come.
Alas, it seems that we are faced with MountainClan's second death raffle. While the hunting game is still open until the end of the month, it's clear that by October 1st, more of MountainClan's cats will journey to SunClan. Remember, entering your cats into a death raffle is entirely optional and not at all required. Only current members of MountainClan can enter this particular raffle.
Sign Ups will close October 1st, at 7am PST/10am EST.
