Our world is filled with the fantastical, walking the line that exists between magic and science, a culmination of creatures created through will power and our earths energy.
And, sometimes, science makes a few mistakes.
You know the difference between breeds, the standards for them and the like, but what if you want a fauna with two tails? A flora with a thousand eyes, or a Tourac without horns? That, my friends, is what we would call a 'deviant'. When escaping the humans who treated us like toys, we didn't only take those deemed perfect by the human standards. Along with us came mutations beyond 'repair'. Touracs created in a lab with less care than the rest of us, and came out not quite how humans would like them.
It's now evident, that these genes pass on through their children, as the land of Liron has become more and more abundant with deviants who don't quite fit the every day Tourac.
Deviants are just like every other Tourac, then than the fact their magic can go a little haywire. Occasionally they have such a strong connection to magic they can move whole buildings with their mind, control weather, make the ground shake in their presence. Others, though, have been completely cut off from their magic and must rely on their tails, paws, and other skills to do day to day tasks.
As for hybrids, that's a bit more straight forward. Hybrids are considered to be the mixture of multiple Tourac breeds, existing with multiple traits and abilities. They tend to have stronger magic, especially if they are generation 2 or further. Hybrids that are not gen 2 were previously regarded by humans as simple experiments that had just started when the Touracs escaped, and there still aren't many that walk the land of Liron. Although, as we grow, so will those numbers.
