Using sweet honey
A tasty treat that can be used to skip rolling and immediately initiate a Wild Battle in an Expedition. A Group Event trigger is still required to use this!

Finding the berry bush from before Hope noticed a few berries she had missed. She snagged a few and handed them to Fluff who seemed happy perhaps realizing it had a treat that Hart did not this time around. While she was feeding Fluff she decided to dip one on some honey she had brought to see how it would taste but the moment she went to open the jar a Pokémon appeared. It was a sentret! Perhaps it was a friend of the one she had captured before? Hope didn’t have time to think about it as the sentret zipped and grabbed the honey jar from her hands spilling it and startling her. Fluff went to headbutt it but the sentret was faster taking the jar and dashing off into the underbrush spilling honey here and there along the way. Fluff was chasing it leaving Hope to chase along as well only for both of them to lose the sentret as it dived into more briars. Fluff got scratched trying to dive in after it but Hope pulled it out. “HEY!” She called out loudly seeming to startle Fluff into shock for a moment making it freeze. Pulling herself and Fluff from the briars she wrote off the honey jar not caring. Fluff was a banged up now as it was before after the fight last time. She sighed and decided to cut her current trip short. It was clear that fluff was going to get into a fight every chance it could right now and she was not going to let that happen. “Alright that’s enough.” She took out a ball and put Fluff away. It was time to head back in.

I catch it. statistically at some point I get three successes along the line of infinity. No I'm not rolling for it ... but I'm tempted to see how many dice I actually roll. ... I'm behaving darn it. can you imagine 100 dice rolling and all of them fail... I'm so tempted...

On her way back a N. Weedle perhaps even the one from before given it’s aggressiveness came out and surprised Hope. Taking a ball she threw it at the N. Weedle and watched surprised as it was captured in the ball landing rocking back and forth gently on the ground. In truth she had thrown the pokball to spook it off or hit it hard like a rock. Still she couldn’t exactly let it go now could she? She had used a lovely park ball that she had gotten and thought it had looked very pretty and it was just a wonderful ball she thought. She actually had another one with her and a few other kinds of pokballs but she had thrown the park ball in her panic. Sighing she bent down and picked it up. Ah well perhaps it would be friendly enough Pokémon in time. She had hope for the sentret as well. Putting the ball in her bag she kept heading back to the gate before something else could happen. She had a few notes on what to pack and change for her next venture out into the grasslands and had to do some more research before she decided to take on the valley. Or she could see about going with someone more experienced with her that was a thought. She was learning that staying in the enrichment center and helping with physicals was a lot different then dealing with issues in the field. She took a breath and nodded focusing. Yep this was a good call to start here.

Heading back she almost tripped over a ledge again. She thankfully wasn’t hurt but she was tempted to say something less than kind. Here she had just gotten used to the idea she needed to be more careful and she went and did that. Taking a breath she recentered and headed back to the gate. She didn’t want to get into any more trouble on this short trip. She figured she might have to make a few more trips into the grasslands before she went to the valley unless she had someone with her as she was certainly underestimating the island Pokémon. Perhaps she could request some help form the enrichment center. Perhaps it may result in more training or some Pokémon recommendations. Nodding she stopped and decided to take out her little notebook from her bag and actually write down all the notes she had in her mind. Resources notes, Pokémon notes, environmental notes, maybe some better footwear. There was a long list of things she had learned from this little venture and she was going to make it count. Putting the notes back into her bag she kept walking feeling the gate was close but that back tracking because of Fluff chasing that sentret had put her back further than she wanted to be. She realized now how trainers could come back from the expeditions tired and burned out. She always thought it seemed silly to be burned out from the grasslands but now having walked it herself she understood well how it could happen.

Back at the berry bush she looked around a bit and realized there were no wild Pokémon but there were some berries still. Knowing fluff had been interrupted before she plucked some and let Fluff out giving them a chance to eat more. Fluff ate greedily and finally seemed satisfied after a bit. It sniffed around on high alert clearly looking for trouble. “Don’t even think about it.” She put Fluff back into the pokball quickly not wanting to even let it start chasing down the sentret again. She decided to keep moving to the gate when a noise caught her attention. She wasn’t sure what it was so she deviated just a bit and headed toward the noise. It didn’t sound like a pokemon at all. She hadn’t noticed it earlier though there sure to be a few other trainers out in the area today so perhaps one of them dropped something? Walking she came across some litter the noise was a clinking noise of a bracelet hanging from a plant clinking against… was that an empty honey jar? A surge of irritation swelled up. There was no way this was the same jar that had been stolen from her before and she had no idea where the bracelet had come from but just the memory of being attacked while trying to eat got her bothered. She scooped up the remnants and put them in her bag to take back and turn into lost and found. She would have to ask the gate folks to keep an eye out for her jar of honey as well. She felt bad but there was no way she could get it back without some help. Maybe the sentret from before had dropped these when it had smelled her honey and wanted more food. It made sense but it didn’t make Hope any happier.
