Home Region: Born in Oreburg, Sinnoh and moved to Stow-On-Side, Galar at 13.
Character Overview: Gabriel is a hot-headed, stubborn metal head with a heart of gold. He doesn't back down from a challenge and refuses to give up, even when all the cards are stacked against him, and easily adapts to changing situations. He pours his heart and soul into everything he does and thrives on the joy that comes from fostering and pairing dog Pokemon with new, loving trainers.

Three Strengths:
- Compassionate: Gabriel has a big, soft heart that he proudly wears on his sleeve for all to see. He loves to take care of others, especially those in desperate need, and spends most of his time working with Pokemon that haven't had a good start in life. It brings him a great deal of joy knowing that he's made a difference in the world, no matter how small, and doesn't think he should have to hide that fact away underneath a "tough" facade.
- Versatile: While he isn't a "jack of all trades", Gabriel is willing to give anything an honest try and adapts to changes in situations very well. He may not be the best fit for what you need, but he's there and happy to lend a temporary hand if need be. Just give him some instructions and you can be assured that he'll do his best!
- Loyal: Whether you're at the top of the mountain or hitting the lowest you've ever been, Gabriel is right there, supporting you the entire way. He wants you to know that you can count on him for anything, no matter how small, and that he's never more than a phone call away. He doesn't expect anything in return, only that you give him the same basic dignity and respect he gives to you.
- Quickly-irritated: Gabriel's hot-temper is something he inherited from his mother, and he has difficulty keeping his frustration to himself. All it takes is one annoying thing to get him started. Maybe he dropped something on the ground or someone didn't hold the door open for him in town, it doesn't matter. He grinds his teeth, his shoulders raise like the hackles on a dog, and suddenly that one little thing is all he can focus on. It takes him a while to cool off and asking him if he's okay only makes it take longer. He used to lash out more when he was a child, but he has since learned to leave a situation when he feels like that. Just... Maybe don't go into his room for a bit if you don't want a pillow thrown at your face.
- Competitive: Gabriel loves a challenge and has no idea when he's supposed to accept defeat or back down. He'll sooner accept getting his ass landed in the hospital, and even then he won't be entirely convinced that he shouldn't try again. The only person who knows just how many scars he has from fights and bets gone south is his wife, and she's basically given up on trying to stop him.
- Perfectionist: Gabriel wants to make sure everything he does is his very best, even when that goal is blatantly impractical. He'll spend hours exhausting himself with work, research, and repeating steps over and over again until he gets a result that makes him feel accomplished, no matter how much that might hold up or irritate others. Even when plans change and whatever he's working on is no longer needed, he'll keep working on that thing until it's done to his standards and keep it forever.
History:
Born in Oreburgh, Sinnoh, to a miner father and a palentologist mother, Gabriel spent much of his life either in Sinnoh's underground with his parents or traveling to different dig sites for his mother's work. While they tried to instill their shared love of fossils and ancient ruins in him, Gabriel instead found a love of rescuing and rehabilitating sick or injured Pokemon they found along their way and started looking for greater opportunities in that line of work as he got older. His love for dog Pokemon developed during this time and would soon become his focus.
When Gabriel was 13 years old, his mother made a groundbreaking discovery that skyrocketed her fame overnight and the family moved to Stow-on-Side, Galar, where they started getting acquainted with those from "higher" social statuses than they did previously. Gabriel felt out of place amongst the wealthier children his age and withdrew socially for a while, until his family was invited to a gala being hosted by the Rutherford family. There, Gabriel met Sybelle Rutherford, and he was smitten. They both had a deep love of Pokemon, similar tastes in music and fashion, and felt out of place amongst all the snobby socialites their parents had surrounded themselves with. It was as though Arceus had brought them together!
When they turned 20, Gabriel proposed to Sybelle and the two were married, then they packed themselves up and set off to travel the world. Their initial goal as a couple was to keep moving, helping people and Pokemon alike along the way, until they found somewhere they both loved enough to settle down in and start a family. However, after nearly six years of love and adventure, neither of them feel like they've found that spot yet. Maybe Nauwill and it's untamed landscape will have what they've been searching for?
