Guardian's Grove A Test of Trials *Mages with Familiar Guardian only at this time*

Many mages would love to have a familiar but of course getting a guardian to go along with the kitsu's desires is never that easy after all guardians have their own wills and wishes as well.

Near the portal there is always a swarm of guardians about the place. They clean and come and go. A few more adventurous souls have asked to see where the guardians live but it is not so easy to get the shy community to open up. Instead prospective kitsu are brought to a secluded grove and small faces peer inward some in trees some standing just on the inside of the grove to better see the stranger. A number of different kinds of guardians are about some kind, some bold, others more sneaky and secretive. They are as diverse as the kitsu who come here.

A small brown guardian steps forward and makes a sweeping motion. "There a a number of guardians who may be willing to follow you but before that happens we would see your prowess in some some way. To that end we offer three trials you may take."


In order to claim a familiar you have to fill out the form and then take one of the three offered tests. Please remember the guardian or ghoulian offered form this will be randomly chosen from a premade group of them. You do not get to determine how they look. Also only one familiar can be claimed per kitsu mage with the familiar ability.

The Brown Guardian comes forward with three scrolls of trials to offer you. You may only select one to attempt.

Trial by Mind (RP with rolls)
There is a large stone puzzle in a field not far from here. Those who would follow you would like to know your wisdom and see how you go about solving it.

• make a 500 word RP of your kitsu solving the puzzle
• Kitsu must make 2 physical and 3 mental successes in moving the stones around.

Trial by Hope (RP only)
There are those who want to know why following you must be done. Your words alone may convince them or you will leave here alone.

• make a 500 word RP of your kitsu pleading their case why one guardian or ghoulian should become their familiar.
• For the Rp your kitsu is stuck in a circle and can not leave it while pleading their case. All guardian and ghoulian are out of reach but can hear your kitsu. Objective your kitsu must convince a guardian or ghoulian to follow them. Social rolls do not boost your challenges and spells that buff will not be effective

Trial by Resource (RP with rolls)
We would see your skills in gathering Dimvic vine. How you gather it is up you you but those who consider following you would like to see how well resourceful you are.

• make a 500 word RP of your kitsu gathering the selected ingredient
• Kitsu must make 5 successful rolls to gather materiel. Rolls can vary from social if buying it form a vendor to physical if climbing to get it or mental if trying to figure out how to get it or how to store it or however you would like to roll for your character. Only looking for 5 success rolls.
