A
Albell
This small bush produces small white blossoms in early spring that are harvested and dried and stored for the year. It loves to bloom in warm bright areas with semi dry soil.

Properties: Induces Vomiting
When mixed in a potion the leaves will induce a vomiting which many a mother has had to use when kits eat something they should not. It can also be used by those who have had a bit to much to drink to help sober up.

A Bane briar plant is one that is found in most forests and it has soft looking leaves that feel soft at first have an oil in them that cause itching after a short time and it is easily spread from kitsu to kitsu leaving a trail of scratching and suffering in it’s wake. Kits are taught from a young age to avoid a soft green leaf with a lavender edge and fuzz underneath as that is the telltale marker of this plant.

Bitter root
A common herb grown in many farm areas in cooler climates it is as the name suggests a bitter root that can be harvested. Once steamed the bitterness does decrease in the plant making it a decent staple root vegetable for cold climates. It can be grown from a small cutting of the root making it a valuable renewable resource for places with infertile soil

Blithe Root
A sour and bitter root that is found in most all regions of Athas and Torrland. it has a foul tasted if chewed on raw that distracts a kitsu from what ails them as it secretes a numbing salve down the throat that often eases indigestion as well as tooth pain

Properties: helps with tooth pain and indigestion.
Bubble Babble
This long stemmed plant gathers air around it under water and gathers it around itself making air bubbles that mer kitsu kits for fun making large bubbles of air to play with underwater. Adult ktisu use several stems together to make ‘air pockets’ that can go over kitsu’s head that breathe air normally so they may travel underwater. The plant has long stems that are varying shades of green with small offshoots that gather the air. The air pocket will collapse if half of it is exposed to direct air from above the water or from an air dome. Thankfully it is easy to remove with a single swipe. The plant is very resilient and can be grown for a small clipping so one plant quickly becomes many if not properly deposed of.

The Calfie bush is a small prickly bush that has a thick stem and can be found on the outer edges of forests. It grows in clumps of three to five.

Properties: Natural Glue, Needles
Alchemists likes to use the leaves as they are a universal binder when boiled into a paste and left to harden. Seamstress love to use the needles as impromptu needles thought they tend to break if they dry out to much.

A soft gentle pastel flower that twines around stumps and road posts. It is small and very sweet smelling. Many kitsu pluck this flower and use it for decorating their homes. Children make flower crowns with it. Farmers detest the plant as where it grows it slowly chokes the life out of plants around it. It is hard to get rid of as it can grow back from a single bit of root. Furthermore the leaves should never be eaten. Those that are will find it hard to breath after a few moments like the wind has been ripped from their lungs. Their heart rate increases to the point of panic and confusion followed by unconsciousness and death in high amounts.

The food tastes wonderful boiled or bakes or cooked almost any way you can imagine and is a great side dish.

It can be used to help expel toxins form the body when used in small doses repeatedly. It is recommended to stay hydrated during this process as without it death can occur. Dimvic is also used to bind and tie thing as it tends to stay strong even when dried out over time.

Felldew
Felldew a 5ft plant that grows up straight and has weeping branches that comes in two varieties based on season. They can easily be told apart during their blooming season. White flowers for Spring and purple flowers for Fall. Spring fruit tends to be sweet enticing while the winter fruit tends to be savory. The berries are the same coloration as the flowers.

Fish Bloom
This gelatinous feeling plant looks like a full school of fish bursting out of a wide flower when submerged in water and rather like a blob of mush when out of it. It is bright and colorful making it a popular underwater plant for mer kitsu to decorate there homes. The ‘fish’ part contain small air bubbles that kitsu can pluck and bite down on to get a small mouthful of air. The plant itself doesn’t taste great but is very bland.

Forget me not flowers
Forget me not flowers are a soft purple flower that is favored in candles as it leaves a soft smell that makes others very relaxed.

A strange vine that blooms in the winter and has small red berries in the warm summer. It is often called the trickster's plant and is hard to find and very rare as it's growing conditions seem to change after a few years no longer in growing in areas it could once be found and ending up in unexpected locations.
Location: Athas and Torreland in rare places
Properties: berries and flowers can be eaten and used in potion making
Galean
It has a long stem with short rounded stubby leaves and orange and pink flowers that are full of juice once the leaf is snapped the juice will run out and the leaves quickly dry making it important to catch the juice as soon as possible in a suitable container.
Location: can be found throughout Athas and Torrland
Properties: A thick wide leafed plant that grows in a variety of places the juice from which potions can be made the help those who have been harmed.
Golden Branch
A hardwood tree in temperate and cooler climates. It is often used when building homes and other structures. It is noted that when it is carved and oiled it will have streaks of golden yellow that runs the length of the wood making it gleam giving the wood it’s name. The bark of the tree is smooth and brown with green to yellow leaves. Seeds from this tree are small and fall in the autumn season. The seeds are small and difficult to crush making them valuable as filling for small objects as they take a long time to break down.

A low thick bush that burns well and gives a deep purple grey smoke that is popular at festivals and to send messages across long distances on day will little wind the burning smell from this plant is pleasant making it very popular to have burning with a normal fire if one wants to have a soft almost lavender smell while burning wood. It grows well in cooler and cold climates and is a hearty plant that due to it's properties is often mixed with candles.

The leaves have a wide base with a sharp point coming off the stem. It is also notoriously hard to grow and those who manage to have the plant grow are often called skilled farmers and florists.

Properties: The seeds can be baked and eaten, the flower petals and leaves ground down and made into ink and the milk of the steam is used to help prevent infections in small wounds

A short stubby plant that has green and red leaves. It is often passed over and mistaken for regular grass in the fall season it has a very strong peppery taste to it and is highly prized as a chemical ingredient in many potions.

Chefs use a dried-out version of this as an herb in order to spice many dishes Alchemist using potions as the fluid when taken from the inside of the plant and distilled over a long of time creates a strong acid. When not distilled it is used as a cleaning agent all the leaves a very peppery smell on surfaces
Merrian flower
A deep crimson flower that grows on a bush with short dark red leaves. The flower is used in certain potions but if consumed outside of the potion will cause hallucinations. The oil from the stem of the bush can be used as a lubricating oil that should not be ingested as it will cause hallucinations.

Milk Touch
A milk touch plant is a vine like plant with light green leaves and bluish edging to them. It is ground down and mixed in many products as it leaves fur with a glossy soft seen that is desired by many kitsu and can be sold at a good price in most markets.

Used primarily for vitamins and cosmetic care items.

A long thin grey vine that grows near graves and dark places. It is said it blooms in moonlight but once a month when a lost ghost weeps over their lost life. In truth it blooms when there is moonlight and a temperature drop slightly less then normal for that region. It is often just perceptible enough to most kitsu as a chilling feeling. The flowers are a soft white that seem to glow gently in the night. Attempts to recreate this effect with magic have failed so far as the temperature drop is to drastic causing the flower to start to bloom then stop and close back up.

Peltfern
A large growing fern that lives in swamps and murky areas. It often grows near silt ponds. The long strong stem has leaves that come off it looking like a thick kitsu pelts giving the plant it's name. it can come in a variety of colors and patterns making it very unique. at a distance it can be confused with a kit standing up against the stem causing a number of confusion in some swamps.

Properties: can be made into brushes for cleaning and painting.
Phrost Lichen
Phrost Lichen a small phrost lichen that grows in cold harsh lands in deep crags. It can be scraped off and tastes oddly of mint.

A pale yellow flower that has thick succulent like leaves making a nest that the flower grows out of. it has a wide squat look with yellow petals with small red dots. It has a strong sweet scent and is popular to make perfumes out of.

This purple flower with thin needles found in many open fields and groves. The flowers can not be eaten but make wonderful decorations.

Red Lien
A tall and proud tree that grows in warm areas. It is renown for it’s deep red wood that is known for it’s luster and lasting hardness. It is very popular for carving and building with. Its has a rough bark that is a challenge to pull back and the heartwood when polished looks like it is at the bottom of a riverbed with a smooth gloss.

Fishermen love to make their boats and architects love to build works with this wood as it is known for its beauty

Silken Stream
This florescent plant sways elegantly in the water but when exposed to air produces a slimy mucus that acts as a filter protecting the lungs/gills of water berating kitsu letting them be on land for a period of a few hours. The plant is easy to identify as it looks like a rainbow stream of kelp the likes to grow in warm waters near the shoreline.

Properties: Allows water breathing kitsu to breath on land if pocketed in the cheeks of kitsu.
Spiral Pod
A fungus known for it's spiral small shape when stepped on it releases a small wave of spores that puff out. Inhalation of the spores can cause some twitching for a short period of time. The skin of the pod can be cooked and eaten if cooked at a low temperature in oil. It is very popular to eat in the fall. It is hard to harvest and drain the spores without popping the skin which is said to ruin the flavor it takes time, a narrow needle and steady paw to prepare this for consumption.

Spring Tea Tree
A medium sized tree that can be found in varied terrain it blooms with small white blossoms for a short period of three weeks. When the tree is in bloom the blossoms are harvested and brewed into a popular tea. Blossoms can be dried to keep for longer however it said the tea tastes the best when harvested and used while the flowers are still in bloom on the trees. A strangle weed is not a weed but a kind of mold that is common to most all farms. It starts as a small fluff born unto the wind but it quickly grows out hiding out on the base of plants like soft small fuzz that spreads up the plant and molding the plant and fruit. When this plague of a mold comes to a farm it has been known to cause the burning and loss of whole harvests.

Soul Rot is a weeping plant that can grow up to three feet in height that has long slender leaves that often sweep the ground in a breeze. The leaves hold a poison that causes respiratory depression if consumed while the stem holds a less potent version.

Tabit plant has bright colored berries that are very small in size but are very toxic to kitsu. They can be eaten by some birds and other creatures without issue however to kitsu they cause decreased urination, flank pain and vomiting if taken for a prolonged period of time if not stopped when these symptoms are noticed the kitsu will die of poisoning, other symptoms may include hearing heartbeat in the ears and large headaches that will stretch on for days at a time these symptoms are not as common but will appear before flank pain. Over a short time less effects will be notable however a very dry mouth after ingestion and a small bitter taste that appears under the tongue can be noted which are the warning signs of these berries.

Terieck
A wide leafed pant that grows up to a foot tall and shines in any kind of light. The plant is often found near mountains or areas where rich silver or other metal are high in concentration. Despite it's fragile look the plants roots run very deep sapping the land of precious minerals which end up deposited in is leaves giving them a shining reflective look. if the minerals in an area are removed the plant will loose shine over time and eventually go dormant or die.

A bush that grows up to 6ft height and can grow larger but is often trimmed down at this point. It blooms small green blossoms in early spring and has a root system that spreads out far and wide. The plants are often grown in fields. While the leaves are not edible the roots can be dug up and boiled. Once boiled they can be eaten.

Properties: Food. The branches tend to be thin up to a quarter of an inch an can be trimmed and used for basket weaving. Farmers and merchants like to use this plant as the roots will keep well during travel until boiled and the baskets woven from the plants tend to keep for at least two to three years before drying out and becoming fragile

Peltfern
A large growing fern that lives in swamps and murky areas. It often grows near silt ponds. The long strong stem has leaves that come off it looking like a thick kitsu pelts giving the plant it's name. it can come in a variety of colors and patterns making it very unique. at a distance it can be confused with a kit standing up against the stem causing a number of confusion in some swamps.

Phrost Lichen
Phrost Lichen a small phrost lichen that grows in cold harsh lands in deep crags. It can be scraped off and tastes oddly of mint.

A pale yellow flower that has thick succulent like leaves making a nest that the flower grows out of. it has a wide squat look with yellow petals with small red dots. It has a strong sweet scent and is popular to make perfumes out of.

This purple flower with thin needles found in many open fields and groves. The flowers can not be eaten but make wonderful decorations.

Red Lien
A tall and proud tree that grows in warm areas. It is renown for it’s deep red wood that is known for it’s luster and lasting hardness. It is very popular for carving and building with. Its has a rough bark that is a challenge to pull back and the heartwood when polished looks like it is at the bottom of a riverbed with a smooth gloss.

Silken Stream
This florescent plant sways elegantly in the water but when exposed to air produces a slimy mucus that acts as a filter protecting the lungs/gills of water berating kitsu letting them be on land for a period of a few hours. The plant is easy to identify as it looks like a rainbow stream of kelp the likes to grow in warm waters near the shoreline.
Location: underwater ( Seraline )
Properties: Allows water breathing kitsu to breath on land if pocketed in the cheeks of kitsu.
Spiral Pod
A fungus known for it's spiral small shape when stepped on it releases a small wave of spores that puff out. Inhalation of the spores can cause some twitching for a short period of time. The skin of the pod can be cooked and eaten if cooked at a low temperature in oil. It is very popular to eat in the fall. It is hard to harvest and drain the spores without popping the skin which is said to ruin the flavor it takes time, a narrow needle and steady paw to prepare this for consumption.

As amazing as it looks it must be cooked or it causes an upset stomach. Farmers like it’s hardy nature as it can grow in more environments but grows best in temperate lands as cold lands stunt the fruit to half it’s size.

Velka flowers are powder blue flower that grows well in rocky areas. It doesn't bloom often but when it does it looks like fresh falling snow on blue petals. it is often described as a very soft flower in looks and feel

It is a short ugly grey and brown weed that has several stalks that always stick out at awkward angles and have small holes in them which is the cause of the name of the plant as when the wind blows through the weed it sounds like whispering can be heard.
