Satine had come back from her adventure the other day with Thrud and was very excited to go look some more at the things that she had found, more closely and with out needing to move around and explore too much. She liked exploring to be sure but sometimes she just wanted to sit and look over things. She had sketches and samples of some of the things she found that she found interesting and was very much wanting to see what was different in detail, and to see what might be interesting to her pokemon to eat or not to eat.
She looked around as she headed out to the grasslands and tied her hair up with a large ribbon into a bow at the top of her head and adjusted down her glasses. Nev was flying around just above her head calling softly as she watched Satine walk out towards the grass. She was enjoying the nice cool early morning air, she had left before full sunrise as she wanted to see what sorts of plants flowered with the sun rise. She was very excited about this and so far this morning Sesame was still asleep, laid across her left shoulder as she walked out to the dew filled morning grass. She had thought about staying on the path as she walked around but she wanted to feel more 'in nature' as she looked over these things. She had on her long leggings today and had her pack full of snacks, treats and blankets. She walked through the damp grass, watching where she stepped as she kept an eye out for holes or small sleeping pokemon about in the ankle to mid calf thick grass. She looked around and watched as Nev flew low and scooped a berry that had fallen off a nearby bush into the grass and then she flew around again circling above Satine's head. She smiled as she looked for a nice group of flowers to study for this morning.
Moving along she looked down a nearby hill and saw a patch of closed purple and pink flowers that seemed promising. She made her way over and looked around, smiling as she saw a few sleeping bugs under other flowers or bushes. She was interested in them too but she wanted to watch the opening flowers with the sun.
Moving closer to the cluster of beautiful flowers she found a good spot to sit down, after putting a blanket down for the damp grass, and sitting near the closed flowers as she got ready, gathering her pencils and sketch book. She started a quick sketch of what the bush looked like with the flowers closed, getting the shape and direction of everything. She loved this. the beauty of it all.
"Just simply beautiful. I can not wait to see what they look like when they are open and greeting the sun!" she whispered to her self. She wondered if they had a name already. It looked a little similar to something she had seen before on the main land but she could not be sure. As the morning went on and the sun came up, she watched as ever so slowly, the petals started to unfurl and the flower heads slowly seemed to drift towards the sun. She smiled and watched over the next hour, sketching away the whole time, as the purple and pink petals opened and showed a large center with thick pollen coated stamen's and a small round ovary in the middle that had small sunflower like seeds, but...different. It was like some sunflower and poppy or lily had cross pollinated or something. As she was distracted, her pokemon wandered slowly around the grass near by, Sesame waking up at some point while she was watching the flowers, and looking for something to eat.
