The Night of the Draconis is a matriarchy based herd who are a nocturnal based society living in the Whispering Willows. This herd worships the moon and refer to the moon as The Mother. Each night their mother watches over them as they do their daily tasks shining her light down upon the herd.
Family is very important to the herd, especially to the rulers., the ghoulies who adorn dragon tails. The herd sees itself as one big family, raising each others young helping each other out when needed.
Queen: The sole Ruler over the entire herd. The queen is hardly seen in public as she is usually in constant mediation/prayer to the Moon.
Royalty: All those who inherit the Dragon tail trait will be considered royalty.
Royalty holds leadership positions over the citizens in each class. Each class eventually will have one or two royals they can approach with concern and suggestions. Which then these royals directly approach the queen.
Citizens: Citizens are put into classes based on their talents and dreams. Each class will have a symbol and color representing that class that each pony must wear at all times so everyone knows what each pony job is in the herd.
Earths: - These ponies are the Farmers and crafters of the herd. They are responsible for growing and cultivating food and goods for the herd for sale or trade with others in the area. This class works closely with the Waters as it is up to the waters to trade these goods.
Fires: - These ponies are the Warriors of the herd. They defend the herd from beasts and others who would harm. There will be some Fires who will patrol during the day to keep those sleeping safe.
Shadow: - These Ponies are the spies and assassins of the herd. They are used to spy on others in the surrounding areas and are sent off to punish those who have harmed the herd.
Winds: - These are the messengers and record keepers of the herd. These scholarly ponies are often tasked with witnessing the changes in the world around them and recording them into books.
Waters - These are the merchants of the herd who are tasked with selling and acquiring goods outside of the herd for the prosperity of the herd.
Lightning: - These are the Mages and alchemists of the herd who research magic and alchemy for the good of the herd. Some will experiment with new ways to incorporate magic where others will work along side the other classes to help them improve their areas.
Ice: - These are the healers of the herd. Taking care of the wellness of the citizens of the herd. This can be physical, mental or spiritual healing.
Herd Beliefs:
The queen has a spiritual connection to the moon and is considered the voice of The Mother.
Their Mother gives the herd life, but can also take away it when she pleases.
Once a pony passes on they return to their Mother.
The stars in the Sky are Ponies who have passed and returned to the Mother.
Every New Moon the herd believes that Mother is angry at them so they must all pray to her to appease her and get her to return.
Every Full Moon the herd believes that Mother is happy with them and so the herd usually has a party on these nights. Festivals are usually held on these nights if the month is right.

Festival of Life and Death - Around October the herd puts on a festival where the herd celebrates the new life born into the herd that year as well as remembers the dead who had past away over the years. This teaches the young that death is a part of life and while their mother gave them life she can also take it away.
