Happy weekend everyone! This week's game is going to be a two-in-one. We've got a lot of cats on their ways to becoming the leaders of new Clans and for that, we have some SunClan cats to give away so they can step up for these leaders' lives ceremonies! Exciting right?

The first contest we're running is a partner contest for the following cats!

These two SunClan cats are related! It's up to you and your partner to decide how closely or distantly related they are - are they siblings, grand-kin or anywhere in-between? What is their familial and personal relationships like in regards to one another?

Familial Relation: Brother (long tail) and sister (bob)
Personal Relations: These two started as fierce rivals and competed to the point where Catmint struck out and fended for himself soon after becoming a warrior. Their parents were able to find him and convince him to return to the clan, but it wasn't until their parents passed on that Catmindclaw and Vincastorm set aside their differences. They were not openly antagonistic towards each other; both simply preferred the company of others and competed to see who could bring the most food back to the clan.

In their elder time, they became strongly bonded to each other. As the last of their litter left standing, they could often be found curled up napping in a sunny spot together, cheek to cheek.

Familial Relation: Younger brother ( Jaywing ), Older sister ( Ivyrot )
Personal Relations: Ivyrot and Jaywing are closely bonded, as close as two cats can be. Ivyrot was born ill, and lived ill. Nothing she did ever seemed to fix it, no amount of work she put in ever solved the pain. Jaywing couldn't be blind to this, no-cat could, and as such he dedicated his life to being a medicine cat. Perhaps there were other reasons, other cats, maybe he just liked helping, but you would have to be blind to ignore the fact he did it for his sister at the end of the day.
Moons passed on, Jaywing was unmatched. Skillful in his craft, cats came left and right for help and nearly all left with the cure for their ailment tucked under their paw. All except one, Ivyrot. Through all the moons she never left that den, her brothers side. Even now nothing was curing her, but at least they had each other. While cats came and went, these two were constant. Jaywing did all he could to save his sister from her own bodies decay, all the while Ivyrot poured her stories into Jaywing, maybe knowing it was for nothing. Jaywing was the first cat she ever told that she felt more like a shecat than anything else, the first cat she ever allowed see her collapse from the exhaustion, the first cat who could ever break through her gruff exterior.

He did EVERYTHING. Anything he could.
And still, one morning, after a series of coughs and yowls, nothing he ever did amounted to anything. All it took was an hour at most for his lifes work to trickle out of her eyes, for the last fire of hope he had somehow given her to snuff away in the wind.
He grieved for moons. Some suspect he never did stop grieving even if life went on. Losing family is hard, but there was something more. Not just family, no, your work, your dedication, grasping to keep an unattainable goal in your reach and it vanishing between your claws. That was there relationship, a misplaced hope, burned on by the love for family that blazes despite the downpour. Two cats who had nothing but the other to keep warm by the light of something that could never happen, Ivyrot surviving.
When Jaywing died, he found her. He would have searched the afterlife for moons for his sister, but he didn't need to. She was waiting for him, her brother, the one cat she confided in. Now, finally, she would be allowed to protect him as the big sister she always wished she could be for his sake.

Bob Tail's Owner & Name: @KisaValkyrie - Petalfire
Familial Relation: Grandfather (longtail) and Granddaughter (bobtail)
Personal Relations: Petalfire had been named for her grandfather and was raised with stories of his double life. You see, Moonflower had not always been named such. When he was young, he earned the name Moonfang, for he was a strong and powerful Warrior. Everyone assumed that he would be an excellent fighter, but when it came down to fighting, he always showed mercy if he raised a paw at all. He lived his life well by day and did everything that was asked of him, but by night, he would sneak into the Medicine Cat Den and steal herbs and cobwebs to go and offer treatment to the loners they had fought earlier that day. It hadn't been until he was an elder that he set down his Warrior name and asked to be made a Medicine Cat Apprentice. Petalfire had watched with pride as her grandfather spent his remaining years helping everyone in need, regardless of whether they were clanborn or not. Even as she was training, she embodied his desire and passion to help others, earning her the powerful -flame suffix. She lived her life in service to her clan and after she passed, the two have been happily reunited.

Congratulations you two, for you have won Moonflower and Petalfire! It was a hard choice between so many good entries, but ultimately, I loved seeing the multigenerational grandfather/daughter combo with these two.
