(The fox hits Thunderfoot for 3 damage!)

When the fox felt claws tearing into its soft flesh, it yelped and staggered back. Fixing its glare on the cat who had attacked it, it lunged forward, jaws snapping down on the cats back. With a force that could only come from the adrenaline of the wounded, the fox managed to pick up the dark gray tom and toss it to the side, before fixing its gaze on its other two opponents.

Thornstrike hits the fox for 5 damage!

HP: 4
Damage: 5
To Hit: 10+

A furious hiss. "No!" he shouted back to his sister. He wouldn't abandon her and Thunderfoot. He wouldn't let this stupid fox get the better of him! With a surge of strength, he was able to find his way forward and strike at the fox again. He was beaten almost as badly as the fox, as they were both bloodied. He could feel himself stumble to the side, tail dragging in the dirt and flank heaving. But he had hit the stinking thing again! Triumph!

Bearwhisker misses the fox!

HP: 10
Damage: 5
To Hit: 10+

Thornstrike was losing steam. Thunderfoot literally got picked up and THROWN. Bearwhisker was quivering as she tried to continue to hold her own against the fox. Her big frame was really all that kept the fox from her brother. Blindly, she lashed out, backing away from it in fear. The massive she-cat was really... Really not good with fighting.

(Thunderfoot misses his attack on the fox!)

Thunderfoot's world had spun out of focus when the fox grabbed him in its jaws. Thunderfoot had always been a sturdy cat, but he started to grow tired and now, he slammed into the ground, his paws starting to feel numb. Now that he was further from his target, he could hear the clashing claws of Thornstrike and Bearwhisker against the fox.

If we make it alive through this, Thunderfoot thought blearily, I have half a mind to start courting Thornstrike too, just to say thanks for helping us make it out of this.

(The fox misses its attack on Thunderfoot!)

The fox realized its error when it turned back to face the other cats instead of running. However, when it was struck again by one of the cats, it had no issue turning around and darting off. If only it had been watching the ground, for it tripped over the gray cat it had tossed to the side moments earlier. Stumbling into the dirt, the fox lay prone.

Thornstrike hits the fox for 5 damage!

HP: 4
Damage: 5
To Hit: 10+

Seeing Thunderfoot picked up and thrown... That... That was absolutely terrifying. And Bearwhisker was frozen to the spot. It was too late to turn and run now. The fox was bleeding and hurt, but there was no doubt in his mind that it would chase them to the ends of the earth. So Thornstrike flung himself over and past his sister, spitting and hissing furiously as he landed on the flank of the fox as it turned to strike at Thunderfoot again and fell. Claws found a hold and he bit down as fiercely as he could into it's back.

Bearwhisker hits the fox for 5 damage!

HP: 10
Damage: 5
To Hit: 10+

The fox was down... Thunderfoot was getting up... Thornstrike was flying through the air and landing on the fox... Out of sheer panic and fear, Bearwhisker acted on instinct, doubling down alongside her brother to try to hold the fox down. Kicking at it fiercely with her strong back legs, she could feel its fur and flesh give way beneath her. It made her feel sick but...

(Thunderfoot misses his attack on the fox!)

Thunderfoot had begun to twitch his paws forward, flexing his claws and heaving himself forward, when the fox ran over him and tripped over his bulk. Thunderfoot ducked his head as his clanmates came forward to attack it, not giving it a moment to escape, while he started to drag himself away from the battle.

(The fox lands a hit on Thunderfoot for 3 damage!)

The fox had rolled onto its paws and managed to stand. but its escape route was no longer apparent to it. With wild eyes, it began to attack wildly, without purpose or intent. It's claws, while not as sharp as the cats it was being assaulted by, were still hard and the strength behind his paws did enough damage to the grounded grey tomcat.

Thornstrike misses the fox!

HP: 4

The small tom was thrown from the fox as it writhed about and hit Thunderfoot. Thornstrike spat it's disgusting blood matted fur from his mouth and lashed his tail as he stumbled to stay on his feet. The surges of energy were great, but with his sister barely stumbling about and hitting it maybe only half the time... Him and Thunderfoot were the ones who were really doing damage!

Bearwhisker misses the fox!

HP: 10
Damage: 5

Thunderfoot was hit again... Bearwhisker saw him trying to drag himself away, so she bolted over to him. Both toms were in terrible state... The she-cat tried to call out for help, but they were too far for backup. She shoved herself against Thunderfoot's side to help him to his paws... Please, SunClan, let them survive this pile of fox dung!

(Thunderfoot misses his attack on the fox!)

Thunderfoot had shrieked when he felt the heavy clawed foot of the fox press down upon his back, raking nails over his open bite wound. He wheezed out something unintelligible - was it a plea for Bearwhisker to run? It was hard to hear over the sounds of continued battle. His eyes closed and his paws fell limp to the ground.

SunClan, don't let me die. I have to live to protect my loved ones. Though maybe, since he wasn't doing a good enough job of it now, this was SunClan's way of telling him, it was time for him to leave StoneClan and the cats in it, behind. Had he been a warrior long enough to join the ranks of SunClan? Or would he cease to be entirely? His body shuddered once and then his head plopped onto the ground. His chest fell in wheezing breaths, but Thunderfoot would not rise to fight again in a hurry.

(The fox misses its attack on Thornstrike!)

The fox stumbled - the grey tomcat had to be dead. One down, two to go and then it could leave and lick its wounds and feast upon the bones of its wretched enemy. With a snarl, it moved to the smallest of the two. Surely the smallest would be the easiest target now?

Thornstrike HITS AND KILLS THE FOX!!!!!!!!!!!!

HP: 4
Damage: 5
To Hit: 10+

The stupid mangy furball made the mistake of swinging back towards Thornstrike.

With his mightiest cry yet, the small tom launched forward, claws out, teeth bared. He slashed and bit at the same time, rending the fox's throat open. It finally stumbled and fell to the side, twitching as life ebbed out of it. Thornstrike himself fell into the dirt rather hard too, huffing and puffing as he grumbled in annoyance.

"Looks like I win this one," he seethed, though there was a hint of pride behind his voice at the victory.

Quivering, Bearwhisker wasn't quite sure what to do... Thornstrike was still standing, barely... So she just waited. Settling down next to Thunderfoot, she began to groom him until his breathing was steady and stronger.

"I'm so sorry..." she muttered to him, pressing her nose to his muzzle. She was useless. Bearwhisker had landed barely any hits, and had taken none. Yet Thunderfoot and Thornstrike were so beat up...

"I'll be right back..." Her voice was soft and then her presence was gone. The she-cat took off through the undergrowth, looking for cobwebs to help stop the bleeding. It took her some time, but she was able to swathe both toms in plenty of cobwebs, puffing from exhaustion. She would lick their wounds clean, much to Thornstrike's displeasure, before patting the cobwebs to the wounds. Once she felt comfortable with their stability, she would race off again to gather forces from the clan.

Bearwhisker made sure to help get both of the toms back to the clan in once piece so they could receive further treatment, and she stayed just outside the medicine den the entire time - her size was too big for her to sit beside them the entire time, especially given Thunderfoot's size. She sat a fitful vigil outside the medicine den until they were recovered.
