Fawndance had been apart of MountainClan long enough that she took on her warrior name - Fawndance - and had begun getting acclimated around the other warriors. Streamheart seemed especially friendly and Thomas, well, she felt a particular kinship with the Clan's only other outsider. MountainClan seemed to be growing stronger, though the river was still dry and the prey shortage was obvious as ever, but Silverstreak's kits had become apprentices and each warrior in the Clan seemed to be determined to ensure that those who remained on the mountain would thrive, one way or another.

There was one den that Fawndance hadn't explored yet, she hadn't really felt the need to, since she was not hurt nor sick, but she had begun to consider something that may require the advice of Fernfire, MountainClan's medicine cat. She had been growing closer to Tigersun for some time now and while she couldn't predict what might happen next in their relationship... If it happened that she should one day find out that she was expecting a litter, then, she wanted to be prepared.

She'd heard that kittypets would get aid from their twolegs - though the thought frightened Fawndance every time she thought of it. To be so vulnerable in front of other creatures - twoleg especially, but even cats... it seemed to daunting. She didn't know how loners went about it - she supposed her own mother probably holed up in a safe corner of the world, but she'd been too young to ask such things (and disinterested in the idea of having her own kits besides.) But...Clan cats were so different - so sophisticated. They had a healer of their very own, had organized patrols to send out to check the borders for predators and every cat was to follow "The Warrior Code" which, while Fawndance didn't agree with all of it, was still a showing of how strong the community was that they all abided with it anyway.

So, after some hemming and hawing, she worked up the nerve to approach Fernfire's den, ducking her head inside and mewing,
"Fernfire, are you... are you in here?" @Tigeria
