Void finished his chipmunk and sat up licking his lips as he looked about the area, ever wary of being dropped in on. He tried to not stray to far from his nest in the ruins to hunt, but prey wasn't always where he would prefer. He had gone further than usual but he was still well within the small area he had claimed as his own.

Belly now filled and not smelling any danger nearby he smiled to himself and trotted off to explore. For him it was fun to explore and find new places and interesting objects to add to his collection. It wasn't always safe, but so long as he kept aware he would likely be able to avoid anything too dangerous.

He traveled some time before he slowed as he smelled unfamiliar cat scent in the woods ahead. He slowed warily as the scent thickened wondering if he should stop. Other cats usually didn't like others in their territories, but he had passed through many before. If he was quick and avoided hunting he felt reasonably certain that he could explore or cut though the area without incident.

So with cautious steps he continued forward curiously with his ears pricked and eyes out for both threats and interesting things he might take back with him. After a bit he took a break by a small puddle for a drink.

Thornstrike had a tendency to split from patrols and scout the territory on his own. He had only recently become a warrior, and his father was not clan born. While the clan had no issue with this, Thornstrike felt like he really needed to PROVE to the clan that they belonged. That, and he was incredibly overly possessive and protective of his own family. It didn't help he was one of the smallest, with one of the biggest being a big softie and giant pushover.

So today he was patrolling, slinking through the undergrowth silently. His varying pelt colors allowed him to blend better. Every so often he would stop and drink in the forest smells. Ears twitching. Until one time when he smelled something odd. It wasn't a clan member he recognized. It must be either someone from another clan, or a loner or kittypet.

His clan held no ill will towards any of them either... But... Something in the young warrior strove to push any intruders off their land.

Quietly, he padded forward until he could see a cat by a little puddle. Readying himself, Thornstrike took a slow and deep breath, before launching forward to pounce on the cat. The two would tumble through the little puddle and out to the other side, with Thornstrike attempting to pin the black cat down.

(up to you on if he does or not ^^)

The wind was not in Void's favor as he was stalked by the younger tom. His ears swiveled as he heard the rush, but there was not enough time for him to react. He only had the chance to start turning as he rose to his paws. This however, only would make him a larger target as they collided. He let out a raspy panicked cry as they splashed through the puddle.

Their tumbling struggle was brief and though Void was larger than the younger cat, he was more wiry than the younger cat and he would loose out when he couldn't quite manage to wriggle away form the determined cat. He quickly decided he would be better suited to submit than attempt a more serious fight.

He let out a horse, soft squeak as he yielded and let the other cat to pin him with no more of a fight in his panicked violet eyes.
