Ritual overlooked the edge of the apple grove from her perch a top a swollen root knot. Perhaps one of her favorite seasons, even if it beckoned the cold paws of winter to follow. Earth mother would provide for the Circle, she always had, even as the warren's numbers swelled. While her nose wasn't what it used to be, she'd caught the scent of new rabbits on the wind and had ventured to the end of the tree line to greet them... or ward them off, if need be. While she might ordinarily send another rabbit - perhaps a mother - to greet a potential new comer, something in Ritual's old bones told her that the guidance of an earth speaker might be needed today.
"Guide me," she whispered, eyes closed against the warm breeze. The leaves rustles in answer.
