und of the leaves rustling and branches smacking against one another had one particular kit watching avidly. He had heard a story here and there about a fun time that came once a year. There was a game the big rabbits had told him about. It had to do with catching something? He couldn't remember what it was called, but it had sounded like so much fun! All the little kit could remember clearly was that... it had to be windy.

Like it was today.

"HONOUR!" He shouted, whipping around to seek out one of his siblings. "Honourrrr! Look at the windy stuff!" Lichen hopped around excitedly. "Wanna try that one game? Where you catch that thing?" He totally knew what he was talking about. Totally.

"Think Mama would care?" Would they get in trouble for going out to play? Maybe. Would it be fun? Absolutely! And besides, grandma Pumpkin would defend them!

Honour's ears were filled with the sound of rustling. Her nose twitched, feeling the strange sensation and all the scents that it carried. The little rabbit had never seen a day like this before! It was delightful, and invigorating! And then she heard her name.

She bounded towards Lichen, wondering if her sibling had a grand plan. Ah yes, he did. "Oh! The game!" Her ears were fully perked. "I'm sure Mama wouldn't mind! We'll just tell her we're practicing!" Mama did love practice. Practicing anything was probably good in her books.

A funny little seed from a tree above her came loose all of a sudden, and drifted in crazed loops. "Lichen! Look!" Honor bounded towards the crazed little seed, trying to see if she could capture it!

Lichen watched as his sister came bounding towards him, little body quivering with his excitement at the idea they could try out this game! And of course, Honour had the best idea ever for the excuse they could tell Mama. They were totally practicing. Yes! "Great idea! Mama can't be mad if we're practicing." Of course, as to what they were practicing... well, hopefully they wouldn't have to plan that far ahead.

The kits eyes homed in on the funny looking seed that began a crazy spiral downwards. It was sort of mesmerizing to watch. Then he shook his head and watched with wide eyes as his sister leaped up. "Ooooooh. That looks like fun!"

Getting his little hind legs read, Lichen tried to jump up as high as he could, little paws waving in the air as he tried to snatch the funny thing.

Honour watched Lichen carefully line up with the little seed and LEAP for it! And CATCH IT! Honour sucked in her in, surprised and impressed. "Wow Lichen!"

Well, now someone had shown her the technique, she was going to make sure she mastered it. A biug gust shook the branches, knocking more of the flying seeds loose. Honour tracked them with her eyes, trying to select a good target. Ah! There was a big one, flying in large loose loops. She tried to align her small body under it, and tense up. Then the sprang, paws outstreched, hoping to connect.

His little flailing paws felt something... and he snatched it! He thumped to the ground with a laugh, looking at the funny seed he'd caught. "Wow, check it out, Honour! It's so funny looking!" He waved it around, grinning at his sister.

Another gust hit the branches. Both kits looked up. And another of the silly seed things was knocked loose! Lichen stared at it, watching the crazy way it zigged and zagged in the air, making a slow spiral down towards the ground. Tricky little things! You just never knew where it was gonna be. And before he could even think to jump at this one, Honour was hopping up and trying to reach it.

"Go! Go!" Lichen cheered, wiggling his little butt before he too, jumped up to try and catch the leaf.

Honour's jaw dropped as Lichen deftly snatched another little seed from mid air. Two in a row! She sure couldn't beat that. "Wow!" She leaped up in celebration, even though she clearly hadn't won this contest.

"I think you're going to have to teach me how to do this Lichen ... you're clearly the best at it. We better tell Mama! You could even teach her!"

And his paws wrapped around the seed again! He laughed the whole way back down, landing on his rump this time. He quickly twisted back up to show off his prizes to Honour. "I didn't know I could do that!" He exclaimed, feeling a rush of excitement coursing through him. Like he could catch all the whirly things!

He sort of felt bad about defeating Honour... but she seemed happy for him!

"Maybe we should come out and play... er, practice again!" His little eyes lit up at the thought of showing Mama his victorious catches! "Do ya think she'd proud?" She totally had to be!

And, well, if Mama wasn't... they always had grandma!
