Fail on both, not close enough.
Thrud set out to the edge of the campus where most of the trainers seemed to be set up while here in town. She watched as Nezha hurried along beside her, waddling about on his short legs as he watched her, keeping pace as best he could with his small frame. "You get around pretty good little one. We'll keep working on your endurance and get you running further in no time!" she said as she looked out the window nearest her and looked at the storm. It was very strange to see for sure, but she wanted to try and see what she could learn about her new friend. She found a little area that looked like it might be indoor grassed seating for mealtimes. Glass dome above keeping weather out but letting in sunlight for the grass underfoot.
"Well my small friend this seems a nice place to sit and get to know you as any. I wanted some room for this, more room then my bedroom offered at least. Now lets see here." she said sitting down and pulling a notebook from her backpack, along with a few pokemon snacks that she had gotten when she acquired her new friend. "Nezha we are going to try and learn a few things about you! Ok?" she said as she watched the small totodile.
Nezha had waddled into the grassy area after her and promptly flid across the soft grass on his belly and rolled about. "Diiiiile!!" he said as he yawned wide, showing off his impressive teeth. His mouth snapped shut with a rather reptilian sound that notated just how powerful those teeth could be if used against unsuspecting fingers. She looked over him and smiled, making notes on how he rolled about in the grass on his belly and looked at the glass, his eyes scanning out at the shield around the town that protected them from this strange storm. She smiled and held up a few of the snacks she had.
"Now lets see if you have much of an appetite." she said offering the treat. He nibbled at it softly but didn't take the full treat. Nezha yawned again and kind of flopped onto his side, lazily watching up at the sky above the glass dome overhead. She looked up and smiled as he rolled onto his back, back legs straight behind him with his front legs laying on his chest. "Not too interested in anything right now are you? Probably cause its pretty stormy and cool out. Not a lot of sun...." She said as she wrote down some notes and reached out and rubbed the little totodile's belly. He wiggled and pawed at her hand as he wiggled in the grass.
"Diiiile! Di-dile!" he said as he rolled away from her hand and flopped in the grass just out of reach. He tucked his legs under himself and looked at her with a sigh and a small, "Dile..." before closing his eyes again.
She laughed softly and made a note 'possibly likes to play but seems not to desire this at all times. Will try playing with him again when its sunny, see if that makes a difference.' She had seen him being rather excited when she had taken him to her room after acquiring him the other day but right now he seemed to be pretty passive and not interested in much. He had finished all of his meal this morning, so she knew he wasn't sick. His color looked...appropriate for this current color of totodile. She smiled though and was sure he was just not feeling up to being rather normal today. He showed some behaviors that she thought noteworthy, but she was sure that if she could get him to act up and be a little more playful, she would have a lot more to write about with his temperament and behaviors. She was glad to see how much he liked the grass and he seemed rather observant, but she could see that he just seemed in the mood to relax. She made one or two more notes and then a little sketch of him and how he was laying on a new page in her notes and then just laid down in the grass next to him and watched the storm rolling by above the dome and above the protective shell keeping the town safe from said storm.
She felt some movement next to her and looked down to see him moving up close to her side and laying down up against her, curling up and resting his chin on her abdomen, his blue sapphire like eyes still watching the sky. He was content with her but she was sure she could get more personality and playful behavior out of him eventually. It would just take a little while, she was sure. But this was a good first step she thought.
