... despite having an organ to generate fire, this pokémon's skin actually generates a tiny amount of ice under its down constantly, causing the cooling effect of its fluff!

... that if a Nauwillian torchic gets too hot, it will purposefully generate a larger amount of frost which it traps in its fluff, letting it cool down quickly. OR ... this pokémon likes to dig shallow burrows in the ground, just big enough for it to fit comfortably in. This is its preferred sort of nest.

It was finally time for Poppy and Jun to meet Cameron, who had requested to meet the pair after Jun offered the general populace to research his pokemon. Poppy had woken up on the wrong side of the bed, but had been convinced into a smooth calm after a careful brushing of her fluff and selected treats for the pink bird. By the time Jun had arrived at the meeting spot, she was chipper, busying herself with exploring nearby rocks and sticks while her trainer patiently waited.

Adorned in his favorite fluffy white sweater, white shorts, and white boots, Jun couldn't be hard to spot. Especially beside his neon pink companion. He still found a way to fret, worriedly checking his phone and glancing about when it wasn't even five minutes until the meeting time.

"You don't think it'll be hard to find us, do you?" He asked his soft friend, who tilted her head up towards him and gently peeped. Right, he probably was worrying for no reason.

"Thanks, Poppy."

Cameron had spent a bit too much time packing. He'd been quite excited to research the native Nauwillian Poke'mon. Was there anything different about them? It seemed that they did have some regional variants, what with the Totodile, Bulbasaur and Torchic being the first things he really noticed. Their natural colors were entirely different than the ones he was used to, and wondered if this meant a different typing like some other regional variants.

Dressed in one of his favorite turtle necks, a jacket, and outside appropriate pants, Cameron slung his messenger back over his shoulder. It was packed with his research journal, a pen, a couple water bottles, some snacks, and various other travelling lab equipment. Just in case.

He arrived a few minutes early, which seemed to work out nicely, as whom he assumed to be the owner was waiting. A bright Torchic was at the person's feet, so hopefully that was correct.

"Hello!" he said as he came closer. "I'm Cameron. Are you Jun?"
