"Ok, so two more projects for lefmews are to learn their physical quirks and temperament." Eulalio scrolled through the website to check to see if there was anything else they could help out with. Unfortunately until the store opened, they were stuck with the one native pokemon that they had. Sitting up on their bed, they turned to the plant pot they had perched on their window sill. "So what sort of temperament would you say you have little one?"
Sundrop peeked over the lip of the pot they were currently sitting in and meeped at him. He reached to give the 'mon a pet and tried to yank his hand back as Baby decided it was playtime. The delcatty was a new addition to the group and was definitely a troublemaker. She'd already tried getting into multiple people's rooms and eating all the snacks at the enrichment center. Eulalio reached for one of the toys that his mom had sent with the pokemon, thankful she'd thought to include them.
Waving the feather toy at Baby, he was surprised when Sundrop jumped in to also bat at the toy. Grinning at the newfound discovery, Eulalio batted the thing around and laughed as they jumped all over one another. He was so glad that the two of them got along. Sundrop had seemed so sad to be the only pokemon he owned, even if it was happy to be with him. It trailed along after him wherever he went when he let it out of its' ball.
Sundrop had to be one of the cutest pokemon he'd seen since coming to the island, and that was saying something! There were so many cute little bulbasaurs and totodiles and torchics around. It was such a shame that the stores weren't open for him to get pokeballs with. There had been a couple really cute pokemon that he'd desperately wanted to take home for himself. Sadly, they'd been turned into the research group. Maybe once they were done with them, he could ask if he could claim one or two?
But he couldn't complain. Sundrop and Baby were so cute. Especially with how nicely they played together. And he could set up a plant box and Sundrop liked to sleep in it. Sure it meant that Sundrop had to have more baths than either of them wanted, but it was worth it to see them so happy. Thankfully Baby was not interested in sharing that space. Instead, she was interested in getting into nearly every other space in the room. how she managed to wedge herself into the closed dresser drawer, Eulalio could not figure out.
Forgetting entirely about the research, Eulalio spent the rest of the day playing with his two pokemon and trying to make sure that they were properly enriched. If he made sure they both got enough playtime, they wouldn't spend the whole night playing zoomies on his head. Delcatty for sure got fed and he made sure to leave water out for the both of them. As Eulalio was laying in bed for the night, the crinkling of the paper he'd been trying to write on for the research, he remembered that he was supposed to be trying to figure out more about lefmew.
"Ah, oops, guess I'll just have to work on that tomorrow then," Eulalio muttered to themself as they closed their eyes and fell asleep.
