Oliver considered the nauwill scatterbug he had recently captured, trying to puzzle on how he wanted to go about training it. He never had trained a bug type before, with an exception of Nessie, his Pokemon had been mammalian. His dad also had a preference to mammalian pokemon outside of the resucue and release Pyukumukus. Hollin had raised her Rowlet to a Dartrix but the owl was the only bird on her team and she was still trying to force an Indeedee on him.
"Well, I guess we'll start with some research and go from there." He said finally, opening up the forms and going down to the obtained pokemon. N. Scatterbug, Diet, Physical quirks, temperament, notable behavior.
He dug out his notebook an a pen, and had just opened it when he heard a awful noise. "What in the?" He turned, catching Mothra pinning the scatterbug down before it could get into her food dish, giving a loud and displeased 'Del'. She huffed, uncaring for the tiny wiggling body.
"Moth, please, let them up." Oliver moved to her, reaching out to gently rub her head and leaned down to scoop up the bug and pull it away from her dish. "You can't possibly want her food." It was mainly meat and some slices of hard boiled egg as a treat.
He struggled to keep the small wiggly bug in his hand as it violently wiggled in his grip. "Ouch," Oliver hissed as the bug clamped on his finger, gnawing angry. "Look at you, you don't have enough teeth to really do any damage." He held his hand up, the small bug dangling angrily, squirming away.
"Ferocious little bastard," he mused and grabbed a glass plopping the bug inside and tipping it upside down to keep the scatterbug trapped inside as he went to pull out the rest of the hard boil egg. "Really, are you going to act like this every time you are hungry?" He questioned.
At least it should manage egg. It should be soft enough for the little guy to chomp. "I guess i can try raw egg to," he mused and lifted the glass letting the bug go.
