Only adult snails may breed, and the twins are very careful to avoid inbreeding by direct lines ((ie sibling x sibling, parent x child, etc)). When breeding snails that have accessories, they might pass on, should Teddy or Tommy want to gift one or two. Snails with unique features might pass on their characteristics to one or more offspring. ((aka both edit types are CC and in no way guaranteed.))
Generally the eggs will have at least some hint of what the snail or slug will look like. The leaf, however, shows what type and species it is. Show snails are a dark green-blue (top left), show slugs are a light green-blue (bottom left). Racer snails are a dark green-yellow (top right), racer slugs are a light green-yellow (bottom right).
Snails may breed with any snail type, as well as any slug type. Slugs may breed with any slug type, or any snail type.
Racer and Show may breed together as well.
There will never be hybrids for mixed breedings. Mixed breeding will always be rolled to see which baby is what species, and then show or racer. When breeding frill x regular, where 1 parent is a snail and 1 is a slug it will be CC if the frill/regular passes to the baby of the opposite type. IE frilled snail x regular slug could have frilled slug and/or regular snail babies.
Rolls will be done with 1 d4 for each baby, and will be stated when rolled what evens/odds will decide, ie evens = frilled slug, odds = smooth snail.
When rolling for snail/slug and show/racer it will be done in 2 separate roll posts.
Roll posts will happen in the custom thread of the colorist doing them.
Breedings that have at least one gen 2 parent might have throwbacks, at the colorist's choice. Meaning if you breed a show smooth snail G2 and a show frilled slug G1, and the G2's parents are a show smooth snail and a racer frilled slug, you might end up with a racer baby. These are completely CC and will not require a roll/s
unless the breeding is obtained via an event that asks for throwback information.
Breedings have a minimum base of 3 and a maximum base of 5 as rolled on Gaia's RnG
Basic breedings are obtained through regular breeding slots and bribe breeding slots.
If you redeem all +1s, the max clutch size is 9.
It is possible to get more babies at the colorist's discretion. This is most likely to happen if a colorist decides to twin a baby, or through special events. Do not ask for extra babies.
Clutch modifiers
You may add +1 baby for a newbie, anyone with 3 or less snails/slugs.
You may add +1 baby via RP points (not currently active)
You may add +1 baby if one or both parents have a grand prize token to turn in. Grand prize tokens are earned by taking 1st place in a race or show. Each token is good for 1 breeding, redeemed when the owner chooses. Do not redeem 2 or more tokens, you may only redeem 1 per breeding.
If one parent is a CYO snail you may add +1 baby. You may do this for each CYO parent involved.
But who keeps the babies?
If you have 5 or more eggs, each owner may keep 2 of them. If a colorist gives extra babies in a breeding, it may come with the stipulation that each owner keep only 1 baby, so pay close attention. Event breedings may also have this same stipulation.
Aside from that, if a newbie baby was claimed it must go to a newbie. Anyone found using alt accounts or mules will be banned from this shop and all future shop events/activities.
After that, it is up to the parent owners what to do with the remaining babies. Babies cannot be sold for credits, real money, or other virtual/game currency or items. Babies may not be traded for other pets, or for the promise of a future breeding/offspring from a future breeding. Any babies offered, must be done so for free.
