Information Hub​

Hosted every year in Starfall on the 7th day of the 7th month, the day the first fell, Tanabata celebrates the Koshin and the stars they come from. For nearly five weeks, frivolity abounds and wishes are made by tying paper talismans to stands of bamboo that shimmer softly with the thrumming magics of the foxy kin. Games, performances, and stalls filled with treats and tokens line the streets, with new things added frequently.

Tanabata will run from 7/7/24 to 8/10/24.

Genko: Bound to the Stars

Not much is known about this species at this time. Although many speculate that their many tails tie them to the stars above. They're ethereal, flitting through the air without wings, their passing often leaves a fading streak of light, like a shooting star.

Benikurage

[Tanabata Only]

Translucent, floating and tinkling with a soft monotone chime, the Benikurage descend once a year on Tanabata night. Each has their own tone, and groups sound like a pleasant windchime. They crowd around the wishing trees, their bells undulating and tails swirling around the paper wishes. The story goes that the Benikurage carry the wishes to the stars.

Hoshikage Ningyou

[Tanabata Only]

Swimming in pools of moonlight, the Hoshikage Ningyou are easily caught and befriended with a bit of food from the Tanabata stalls. They too only appear during Tanabata, eyes staring up to the stars and swimming in vast schools like a murmuration above the frivolity of the celebration below.​
