HELLO AND WELCOME!

Today we have here, for your pleasure and temptation...
a pony worthy of being in a family of giant wings!
BEHOLD!

One of the younger siblings in a rather well-known family of royalty from Selma, a city deep within the summer-y southlands where the desert sun is fierce and unforgiving for those unprepared for it.

Long ago, ponies who were lost in the dry dunes, thirsty and without a home after a fierce climate change, prayed to the heavens for salvation. Awakened Pegasi, hearing their cries, carried the rain clouds together and thus the rain came to the burning sands. The forefathers continued their labor for 2 days and nights, gathering the water they needed and the oasis surrounding what would be Selma were born into creation, through the sweat and toil of these Behedeti ancestors, and the land grew verdant and held life for those who were choked with sand and the shadow of death from travelling the desert.

These Ancient Behedeti were seen as royalty, and from then on their descendants were held in high regard and lived within the walls of a desert temple, Quilbilah Palace.

The Behedeti Verdin [Heirs]

Verdin Hawk Behedeti, the oldest sibling is the complete golden child of the bunch.
He will literally make you gag with how much of a Prince Charming he is.
[Portrayed by ChexaRain]

Verdin Omari Behedeti is fairly duty driven though a little cocky at times. He likes to avoid things that are too crowded or have to much spotlight in them for his taste. He would rather his brothers be put on a pedestal then him as he hates the expectations that come along with things and dislikes failing.
[Portrayed by Reoakee]

Verdin Sadiki Behedeti wants to be amazing like his older brothers are in his eyes (wouldn't matter if they were criminals or monsters he would still idolize them).
[Portrayed by Reoakee]

Name of Pony: Verdin Hemera Behedeti
Gender: F
Personality: Curious and kind, friendly, an early riser and a lover of breakfast as the most important meal! Lover of books and knowledge, but also to most extents a rule follower.
Prompt: How would your royal descendant respond to the idea that your eldest brother, the one who is first in line, desires to see the outside world, beyond the oasis around your life-long home? Will you join him, chastise him, or do you have another solution? [This is a nonsensical prompt, more just to see what your pony is like!]
Hemera would be curious about the idea of the outside but would be cautious about breaking rules. She would feel like since shes the only daughter that she would need to be as much of a rule follower as possible as it would be bad for her to stand out more then her being a different sex already does. She would want to go with, note taking and adding knowledge to her own general understanding of life and everything around her, would drive her to want to say 'Yes! Please! I would love to go with and know more!' But her knowledge of the fact that, at the moment, shes the only female of the family would make her hesitant to get in trouble and do something they were told they shouldn't.
End the end she would probably go cause curiosity would get the best of her and she would want to know what was out there with her own eyes and take notes that she knew she could trust on it all. The beauty of what else would be out there would have called to her just as much as it called to her older sibling and she would want to know all of it, even if she got in trouble afterwards.

Username: SwordOfTheNagas
Name of Pony: Verdin Khnurn Behedeti

Gender: M
Personality: Sarcastic, a little snide. Khnurn got all the sass of his elder brothers and then some. However, as much as he is sassy he does pull it back when he sees that his brothers need cuddles. He loves cuddles, loves his brothers. He has a knack for saying what's on his mind without thinking so that causes a lot of issues.
Prompt: How would your royal descendant respond to the idea that your eldest brother, the one who is first in line, desires to see the outside world, beyond the oasis around your life-long home? Will you join him, chastise him, or do you have another solution?

The youngest would blink a few times. "Okay first; You are insane. We have never been out there, never warned of what was out there...for all we know it could be danger central!!! There's no reason besides wanderlust for you to go. You are needed here! You can't make us pick up your slack!!! This is our home! I don't want you to leave any of us behind! One of us has to stay here if you leave!!!"

He panted as he was yelling. Then he calmed several levels.

"When are we leaving?" he smirked.

Username: Luxona
Name of Pony: Verdin Sagirah Behedeti (suh-GIH-rah, meaning Little One)
Gender: F
Personality: Rebellious, but tries to be responsible... Most of the time. She's often bored from her duties, sometimes a little bitter at being the 'little girl' of the family, and swings between 'I'm JUST as good/important/strong as my brothers are!' and 'Meh, too much effort.'. She lives off coffee (it must be as dark as her soul), has way too many pillows in her room, and likes to paint but is absolutely terrible at it. Has definitely accidentally drank paint water instead of coffee more times than she'll ever admit.

Prompt:
She'd been putting the idea in his head for months. At first it was just little musings from time to time, a little mumbled wonder out loud, like 'I wonder if the sun shines just as bright on the rest of the world...' or 'Imagine seeing an oasis that just... goes on forever...'. Then it became musings of venturing out for herself any time one of the brothers annoyed her, 'I swear, you all are going to drive me from these walls...'. Sometimes she'd even make empty 'threats' of straight up leaving, 'That's it! I'm going somewhere greener! Having brothers is for the birds!'... When she started to notice ol' Hawk-y boy looking thoughtful at her mumbles and huffs of beyond their world, she started asking him if he'd ever known any of it. What he thought of it. If he ever considered venturing out... Exploring...

And sure enough. The idea got into his head, and here he was, asking her to cover for him while he slipped out in the coolness of the night.

Of course, he was out of his mind if he thought she wouldn't go with him! She'd longed to see the outside, it just... never occurred to her that doing so was actually a popsibility? And it certainly never occurred to her that the golden child, out of all of them, would take her wonderings further. So you bet your sweet feathers she was going with him!

It took some convincing and plotting, but finally, FINALLY, they stood side by side in front of the setting sun, and as the last light flickered across their lands, they took to the skies. The wind always felt good in her wings, but this time the raw excitement of feeling outside air in them gnawed hungrily from inside, and she had to remind herself a couple times that if she kept grinning like a fool she'd end up picking bugs from her teeth... Being skilled fliers of course, it took the pair no time at all to reach the ends of their world, through the oasis, and...

"Sagirah...?"

'Yeah?'

"SAGIRAH???"

With a start, the youngest of the royal siblings awoke, only to find Hawk-y boy looking down on her, clearly not amused at something... "Wha- huh?" She sat up, rubbed her eyes, and looked around... She was in her room, pillows tossed about, one of her blankets tangled up in her legs and disheveled wings as if she'd had a rough sleep... Had they already returned? Had she slept so hard she'd forgotten in grogginess? As her brain scrambled with the puzzle pieces of her memories, however, she began to realize... They'd never left. She'd been dreaming.

With a growl, she launched a pillow at her brother, who dodged with ease as this was a regular occurrence from her and reminded her she was late for some stupid thing or another... But as he walked out her bedroom door, he glanced back for half a heartbeat... And she could swear she saw him wink.

Username: Joshuality
Name of Pony: Verdin Kafele Behedeti
Gender: M
Personality: Despite being the youngest, Kafele considers himself to be the most mature of the brothers. He is sworn to his duties and dedicates most of his time to ensure that everything within the palace is running smoothly. He keeps track of just about everything. Kafele loves his family, but still cannot hide his resentment towards them. He believes his siblings should take things more seriously, as to not tarnish the family name, and wishes to be the true heir to the throne.

Prompt: Kafele scoffed when his brother first told him about his desire to leave. It only took a moment's silence before Kafele realized Hawk was serious.

"Brother, you must be joking. You cannot seriously be considering leaving the palace! You're first in line, and this is how you honor our ancestors?"

Hawk opened his mouth to speak, but Kafele knew better than to let him try to charm his way out of it.

"Don't. We don't know what is out there. This is our palace, our home, our oasis. If you go through with this, I can't stop you... But the second you leave our borders, you are out of my reach. You are abandoning your chances at the throne, you are abandoning this family. You know that, right?" Kafele paused to sigh, looking his brother up and down (which was admittedly hard, given his stature.) "Look, just... Please consider everything before you do something you'll regret."

Name of Pony: Verdin Abasi Behedeti
Gender: M
Personality: Resentful, yet ambitious, Abasi dreams of having power over their oasis home. He envies his perfect brother, Hawk, for being the first in line and the type that everyone in their homeland looks up to.
Often regarded as the reserved and studious brother, Abasi values tradition and is doing his part to ensure that rituals and traditions are followed by the residents around their oasis as well as the workers in their palace. He follows logic over emotional responses and can sometimes be perceived as calculating or cold as a result. He struggles to maintain any power he has over others, as he's the youngest of his brothers and the heir lineage. Even if his eldest brother were to give up his title (not that Prince Perfect ever would) there would still be two obstacles in Abasi's way. He is more defensive in the company of his brothers, as he feels like they lord their superiority over him (when by anyone else's point of view, it may be more like brotherly teasing) for being the "baby brother" of them.
One day he'll prove himself to his brothers and the denizens of Selma that he should be the one in charge. That despite being the youngest, he's the most qualified for the position of a leader.
Prompt:
"Hawk is... what?" Abasi had overheard the news from his eldest brother, specifically Sadiki as all of his brothers were older than he was. Sadiki had been gushing over how courageous and enlightened Hawk was to venture outside of their oasis paradise all morning. Abasi had gotten the barest minimum of it - through all the compliments and praise that his older brother passed onto the eldest, even when the latter wasn't present to hear it. By the time Abasi was finally getting a word in, his brother had run off and Abasi was left in the dust to roll his eyes towards the beautifully painted ceilings above.

So, Hawk intended to leave the palace, to leave all of Selma behind to... what? Go fulfill some foal-minded adventure story? Maybe Prince Perfect was finally cracking under the pressure. Well, good riddance! Abasi thought. Perhaps Hawk would kindly renounce his title while he was on his way out of the desert too and name Abasi the next leader to be, above his other two brothers. Shaking his head, Abasi turned around and began to walk towards the palace library. As if such a thing could happen.

This was just a fantasy of Hawk's. His eldest brother would get a few miles from the oasis and realize that there was nothing except more sand beyond Selma. Or, even if there was some manner of secret organization outside their paradise - some group of savages, perhaps - perhaps his brother would decide to live out there forever. Hawk didn't seem like the type to abandon his people in favor of a fantasy, but before today, Abasi hadn't believed Hawk seemed like the adventuring type, either. Clearly, things could change.

Abasi stalled in the hallway, pondering this thought. Things could change...Hawk would be gone and it was very apparent that Omari, who would be next in line, didn't care for the spotlight, nor did he have much desire to lead. Sadiki...Well, he would be the wild card, but he seemed more devoted to his older brothers than he seemed to wanted to take over from them. Maybe... just maybe if Hawk rreally did leave, then it would be the chance that Abasi had been waiting for, to prove himself to his brothers and to the citizens of Selma, that the real heir meant to lead them had been right under their noses this whole time.
