This book contains a starter set of alchemy potions that any beginner can start with and you’ll be an alchemical master in no time.
Things you will need to get started can be found in a number of areas please refer to your local markets and library to make sure that your supplies are correct and safe for use as use of nonstandard ingredients many alter and change the effect of desired potion and distributors of The Great Big Book of Potions: Basics are not libel for results obtained from improper use of ingredients that vary from intended use.
Remember to start safe: A safe ventilated space that is clean of debris is an important place to start as foreign materials may alter or damage your precious potions. A stable safe cutting space and starter lab kit may also be required. So remember to clean all surfaces and locations that may come into contact with your alchemy ingredients including where they are stored as well as cleaning any fireplace or other heat source which may contaminate the potion.
Gather or purchase your starter lab kit. (starter kits may not be all inclusive for some recipes please always check supplies before beginning a potion) Standard lab kits include. Small knife, honing stone, cutting board, mortar and pastel, small drying wrack with binding twine, shiftier, strainer, candles, varied bowel sizes, melting pot, mixing pot and clear holder vials as well as sealing wax.
