Welcome to the first shop time skip! As we start a new year, the shop time line is getting a time skip! Year 1 of the shop is now finished. During the next four weeks prompts will be given to figure out what your characters did for the last four years! At the end of the event the shop will be starting year 6 season spring. To encourage participation, each week will feature unique new prizes! How it works:

  • Reply to the starting prompt to begin the year for a character.
  • You may enter as many characters as you'd like.
  • After replying to starting prompt, roll 1d100 for a social check and 1d20 for a health check.
  • Depending on roll results, characters will receive various reaction prompts and may be asked to make more dice rolls.
  • Prompts will be given as players post, not at set times.
  • For each character response made the player gets their name added to the list.
  • Players must reply with at least one sentence to be counted as a character response.
  • At the end of the week a winner will be rolled from that week's list.
  • Make all rolls in this thread below your post.
Year 1 - Starting Prompt Morden Utulie, Head of the Scholars Guild, leads a group to investigate what researcher Orn Holms was working on in the ruins a little ways from HollowOak village. On the first visit to the ruins, he learns that the water alter is a source of magic and a gate that leads to Osha's homeland, the realm of magic. With Osha's return, it must mean that magic is returning! Morden isn't fully sure but it looks like there are other magic gates in the world. Does your character:
  • Stand on the side of the worried, the frightened, and/or superstitious? It was said that the Sera locked away all magic in order to lock away the evil Deav. If magic is coming back doesn't that mean the dark shadows of evil are too? Don't go looking for trouble. Give a sentence or few to explain.
  • Stand on the side of the neutral, the unsure, and/or the skeptic? Life is change, is it right to fight against it? The land seems to be dying anyway, perhaps this change is for the better. Just go with the flow. Give a sentence or few to explain.
  • Stand on the side of the hopeful, the excited, and/or optimistic? Finding the other magic gates could be the only way to restore balance, just like that dream mentioned. The magic is a gift and should definitely sought after! Give a sentence or few to explain.
  • Other. Give a sentence or few to explain.

Tailisen wasn't really sure what he felt, only that he felt... something. Even if it was the smallest of somethings. He sighed, rubbing his temples in frustration. Ever since that deal with the crab...and Osha...and his new ears, he was having to get used to life as an Alva. With his itty bitty water magic that felt more like a child's squirt gun than anything else right now, certainly a lot had changed for him. But now it was more than just him, it was, well possibly the world. At least as far as he knew. It might just start right here in his home town but it could spread, farther and faste rthan anyone could posisbly know. "Good job Osha, leaving your little portals all over. You should really get that fixed." he rolled his eyes before giving a shrug of his shoulders. "Well I guess we either sit around and do nothing...or we figure this out together." he mumbled, to really no one but himself and his crab companion, Sushi.
robbedragon01/09/2024 10:58 AM
Shulbari had heard the rumors and shrugged them off. If this thing summoned some kind of hell spawn, he'd punch it in the face. He was actually hoping it did present a challenge. Hunting boar wasn't really giving him enough of one. "I say bring it on."
DBPyrat01/09/2024 5:32 PM
Gunnar didn't really know what to make of Morden's discovery. After the dream and some of the villagers growing pointy ears it seemed like change was happening regardless of what anyone thought so might as well deal with it as it happens.
Revel01/11/2024 9:43 AM
Osha was excited about the magic returning, she was pretty much literally made of it, with the return of magic, she hoped the return of her memories... she hated the fuzzy, not-knowing feeling whenever she tried to think back to the time before she was brought back into this world. It made her sad, she got a bit.. drippy when she was sad too, which kind of freaked others out so she tried to hold it together all the time. However seeing others, being able to manipulate water "This will help people, i know it, already some are trying" she said to herself... or to her familiars, she wasn't really sure.
Swamp Siren01/11/2024 1:38 PM
Cole wasn't sure what to think but he honestly hoped that the portal would bring a great boon the the village.
Swamp Siren01/11/2024 1:40 PM
Anastasia viewed the portal as what will happen will happen. Why worry over it?
Rainyaviel01/11/2024 2:32 PM
Quinn had never thought herself the superstitious or even the suspicious type in the past however, with the awakening of magic in some of her fellow villagers and the arrival of a water woman who called herself 'Osha', she was starting to wonder. Those with the magic had all been kind enough, they didn't outwardly show any signs of malevolence and the young woman did her best to remain neutral toward them, at least to their faces. Still, when everything grew quiet and she was left with her thoughts she couldn't help but wonder if this was all a sign of impending disaster.
Rainyaviel01/11/2024 5:20 PM
Having been a member of the group that originally discovered the magic gate and returned some of the magic to the world, Nayzee was optimistic and excited by the development. It probably helped that she was one of the few who had awakened the lament Alvia blood in her veins and was now learning to use the magic she had been gifted. Still, the woman was extremely aware that those who had not received the magic were on edge about the development and so she continued on with life as usual, only using her magic once she was in private.
Rainyaviel01/11/2024 5:30 PM
Jorildyn had gone to bed one evening completely normal and woken the next morning in a soaked bed, though not from sweat or a mid-night accident. After taking stock of the situation he had quickly realized he was covered in water, as if he had bathed and gone to bed without bothering to dry off. This alarmed the man, he hadn't even been drinking so how had something so strange happened without him being able to remember? Soon a shout went up, then another. Upon checking in with his fellow villagers he realized that many of them had woken in a similar circumstance. After that initial shock the Alvia began to notice strange things occurring around them, especially if water was involved. As time passed those who had their magic awakened learned to control their powers and Jorildyn was no exception. He spent a lot of time practicing with his magic, not entirely sure why it had come to him, but feeling that he should not neglect it.
robbedragon01/11/2024 7:48 PM
Raja was far too delicate to risk danger and he was certainly not about to go to war with whatever demonic beasts came out of that portal.
robbedragon01/11/2024 7:54 PM
"Of course the world would go to shit in my lifetime." Cochran complained once he heard the news. "Somehow I feel like I'm getting blamed for this...."
Revel01/14/2024 10:27 AM
Nari was unsure, she had been one of those to FIND Osha in the first place and while the water elamel didn't seem like a bad person, Nari herself had changed, actually physically, because of it, not only did she suddenly have pointy ears, but she had some level of control over water, it was scary and for a while, stopped her from practicing healing as she learned to control her new ability.

NatiStorm How it played out:
@Luna The village heard Tailisen's words.... and though many did not agree with his attitude, there were those that shared his opinion. Tailisen was asked to join all planning meetings in the Main Hall. After much discussion, it was decided that the village needed more information so Morden and his group were sent back out to the ruins. Tailisen remained in good health throughout the spring.
@robbedragon The village heard Shulbari's words.... and many agreed with his opinion. Shulbari was asked to join all planning meetings in the Main Hall and was regularly asked for input. After much discussion, it was decided that the village needed more information so Morden and his group were sent back out to the ruins. Shulbari had been assigned to help protect the researchers but ended up getting so sick he wasn't allowed to leave the Care Ward for three days!
@DBPyrat The village heard Gunnar's words.... and many could see his logic and agreed. Gunnar was asked to join all planning meetings in the Main Hall and was often called upon for advice. After much discussion, it was decided that the village needed more information so Morden and his group were sent back out to the ruins. Gunnar remained in good health throughout the spring.
@Revel The village heard Osha's words.... and many agreed with her opinion. Osha was asked to join all planning meetings in the Main Hall and was regularly asked for input. After much discussion, it was decided that the village needed more information so Morden and his group were sent back out to the ruins. Osha remained in good health throughout the spring.
@Swamp Siren The village heard Cole's words.... and many agreed with his opinion. Cole was asked to join all planning meetings in the Main Hall and was regularly asked for input. Cole had to miss a few meetings after a scratch from one of the falcons got infected and put him in the Care Ward for several days.
@Swamp Siren The village heard Anastasia's words.... and completely ignored her. Since Anastasia didn't seem concerned with the portals, she stopped being invited to meetings about them. Anastasia caught pneumonia and was gravely ill for most of the spring.
@Rainyaviel The village heard Quinn's words.... and many agreed with her opinion. Quinn was asked to join all planning meetings in the Main Hall and was regularly asked for input. Unfortunately Quinn had to miss a few meetings as she caught a nasty cold when the weather changed keeping her in bed for several days.
@Rainyaviel The village heard Nayzee‘s words.... and very few shared her optimism. She was invited to meetings only because was magically gifted but was rarely asked to share her opinion. Nayzee remained in good health during the spring. (I'll have to get to Jorildyen later as I don't have prompts written for his village xD)
@robbedragon The village heard Raja's words.... and completely ignored him. No one gave Raja's words a second thought and many stopped asking for his/her opinion all together. Raja remained in good health during the spring.
@robbedragon The village heard Cochran's words.... and completely ignored him. No one gave Cochran's words a second thought and many stopped asking for his/her opinion all together. Cochran managed to catch a cold from another villager and was bed ridden for several days.
@Revel The village heard Nari's words.... and though many agree with her, most dismissed her concerns. Nari caught a bad cold that kept her in bed for several days.

Year 1 - Second Prompt On the second visit Morden learns that not only is Osha part of a family of magical beings, but she has a twin made of fire! Looks like there might be beings out there who can wield fire just like the Alvia can wield water! Does your character:

  • Stand on the side of the worried, the frightened, and/or superstitious? Water magic is one thing but fire magic? That's beyond dangerous and should be avoided at all costs! Give a sentence or few to explain.
  • Stand on the side of the neutral, the unsure, and/or the skeptic? It stands to reason that if there is magic for water, there would be magic for fire. Maybe the magic will be so weak that it won't be dangerous. Give a sentence or few to explain.
  • Stand on the side of the hopeful, the excited, and/or optimistic? Water magic has been helpful in the village, fire magic could be too! Osha's twin must be found! Give a sentence or few to explain.
  • Other. Give a sentence or few to explain.
robbedragon01/09/2024 12:10 PM
Shulbari grumbled from his bed. "Another great discovery I have to sit out on. Of all the rotten luck. Fire could help us so much. We could build flaming catapults or ignite our weapons in battle!" he ranted. "I just need to get out there and protect them if it goes wrong..."
Luna01/09/2024 12:20 PM
Tailisen blinked at this news. "Fire? Osha has a twin made of spicy water?" he half chortled half sighed. "We'll isn't that just fucking wondrful. What next, a gusty bitch? Stone cold Mary Sue?" Goodness, let's just let EVERYONE through the portal now why dont we." he groaned again before rubbing his temples. HE got a few nasty looks and he sighed, rolling his eyes. "Alright alright I hear you, calm your knickers. Look all I'm saying is while this could be good, it could also be bad. Look at the shit that happened when Osha first appeared. The last thing we need is even more giant crabs wounding citizens." he shook his head a bit before running his hands through his head. "My magic isn't that strong yet, not like Osha's. But i guess if worse comes to worse....I'll help where I can."
DBPyrat01/10/2024 10:05 PM
Gunnar is quite excited to hear about fire magic. While the water magic he had seen didn't much impress him, as a smith the ability to manipulate flame was quite intriguing.
Revel01/11/2024 11:40 AM
Osha was slightly uncomfortable being involved in all of the planning and discussion, given she just couldn't remember much but she was determined to be as helpful to the village as she could be, she was just so grateful to be free now, if it hadn't been for the villagers, she wouldn't be here today.
When the news came that there were more magical beings, she couldn't be MORE excited, especially learning she has a twin out there, ok so they were made of fire and that wasn't always a good mix with water, (she'd learned that the hard way when she'd put people's fires out when trying help, by accident) Still.. she had FAMILY, She was hopeful she could learn more about her missing past and she dearly wanted to find others like her. The people who now had some degree of water control were amazing people but she still felt that missing part like a constant ache. She hoped to join the search party next time.
Rainyaviel01/11/2024 9:10 PM
Quinn did he best to prove herself worthy of being invited to the meetings, offering a cautious yet courteous voice to the discussions. When she was stuck in bed with an awful cold she spent her time reading up on anything about the magic of the past that the scholars weren't actively using. Upon being released from care she learned that Morden had gone back out to investigate and now had news about fire magic. A nervous feeling swirled around in the pit of her stomach as she contemplated what this could mean but so far the water magic hadn't caused any real harm. Maybe they were getting worked up over nothing? Then again... maybe the magic just wasn't strong enough to cause trouble yet.
robbedragon01/11/2024 9:17 PM
All this panic was starting to give Raja nightmares and make it hard for him to get his beauty sleep. He had bags under his eyes, his clothes looked disheveled and he was no where near his fabulous self. "NOW THERE'S FIRE?!" he blurted out when he heard. He probably would've said more but he suddenly felt woozy and fell backwards.
robbedragon01/11/2024 9:22 PM
Cochran was deciding to take a more optimistic look as the introduction of new types of magic. The water users didn't seem altogether that powerful but they served their usefulness when it came to watering crops or getting fish out of the water quickly. Maybe fire magic could aid in cooking or closing wounds in a hurry and, with his luck, anything that could help close his wounds was always a plus.
Swamp Siren01/11/2024 9:22 PM
Cole would trust that if Osha isn't bad then perhaps the other won't either. It's not fair to judge someone before you meet them, right?
Rainyaviel01/11/2024 9:25 PM
Nayzee knew the rest of the village wasn't really comfortable with her, in fact, despite her still diligently attending to her cooking duties and making sure the mess hall ran smoothly she often felt like she was being avoided. If she didn't know better she'd think she had a plague or something that the others were terrified of catching. She attended the meetings she was invited to despite feeling she was only there to keep up appearances. As time passed she did her best to remain optimistic and friendly to all of her fellow villagers but found herself drifting to the other Alvia more often than not, seeking some companionship where she wouldn't be judged for the magic that had been unlocked within her. Silently she worried about whether the Alvia would be ousted from the village simply due to the fears of the Homia. Hearing about the fire magic, she wondered if that meant there were even more like her out there somewhere. Would they also be against the Alvia? Or would all the magic users end up banding together for support?
Swamp Siren01/11/2024 9:26 PM
No. There is one term that keeps coming to Anastasia's mind, "Fire bad." She was going to stay far away from that.
Revel01/15/2024 12:08 PM
Nari didn't much mind that most of the village dismised her misgivings over the magic, she wasn't anyone important.
She was concerned about there being more magical beings though, what if someone BAD came through the gate, Osha seemed okay, nice even, she'd noticed the water Elamel really trying hard to do good things around the village but she was scared, water was one thing but fire? .... fire out of control was very dangerous, since Osha didn't remember her past, it's not like the water elamel could guarantee her twin would be as nice as her, what if the fire person was bad? they could do a lot of harm.

NatiStorm How it played out
@robbedragon The village heard Shulbari's words.... and completely ignored him. Of course he'd want to use it for violence. No one gave Shulbari's words a second thought and many stopped asking for his opinion all together. Shulbari strived to stay healthy after recovering from his earlier sickness and managed to stay in good health throughout the summer.
@Luna The village heard Tailisen's words.... and many agreed with him and shared his feelings on the matter. He won the approval of a few elders who apricated his willingness to help as well as his skepticism and was called on for his opinion in several meetings. Unfortunately Tailisen had to skip a few meetings after an allergic reaction to a new dye gave him a full body rash for several days.
@DBPyrat The village heard Gunnar's words.... and many agreed with him and shared his feelings on the matter. He won the approval of a few elders who agreed with Gunnar's practical uses of the magic and was called on for his opinion in several meetings. Gunnar stayed in excellent health during the summer.
@Revel The village heard Osha's words.... and many agreed with her and shared in her excitement on the matter. She had the sympathies of a few elders who missed their families and was called on for her opinion in several meetings. Osha remained in good health throughout the summer.
@Rainyaviel The village heard Quinn's words.... and many agreed with her and shared her feelings on the matter. She won the approval of a few elders who appreciated her cautious approach to the situation and was she called on for her opinion in several meetings. Quinn remained in good health during the summer.
@robbedragon The village heard Raja's words.... and many agreed with his opinion. Raja was asked to join many planning meetings in the Main Hall and was occasionally asked for input. Raja remained in great health during the summer.
@robbedragon The village heard Cochran's words.... and many agreed with him and shared his feelings on the matter. He won the approval of a few elders who appreciated his helpful approach and was called on for his opinion in several meetings. Cochran remained in good health during the summer.
@Swamp Siren The village heard Cole's words.... and most completely ignored him. No one gave his words on the matter a second thought but he was still invited to sit in on the meetings. Cole didn't make many of the meetings however since he came down with a nasty stomach bug that kept him busy for several days.
@Rainyaviel The village heard Nayzee's words.... and many agreed with her and shared her feelings on the matter. She won the approval of a few elders who appreciated her hard work and was called on for her opinion in several meetings. Nayzee remained in good health during the summer.
@Swamp Siren The village heard Anastasia's words.... and nearly everyone agreed and shared her feelings on the matter! She won the approval of many elders, including Tara Hawthorn, the Wise Elder, and she was called on to give her opinion in almost every meeting. Well....her opinion was relayed to the village as Anastasia rarely left the Care Ward due to her stubborn pneumonia.
@Revel The village heard Nari's words.... and many agreed with her. (Due to her social bonus, 1-10 means Nari is not ignored!) Nari caught a stomach bug that kept her secluded for several days.

Year 1 - Third Prompt After much disccusion, it was decided more knowledge was needed about this Elamel family so off Morden and his crew went, back to the ruins. On the third visit to the ruins, however, Morden investigates something else, something that had been nagging at him every time he'd visited. Sadly he learns that no animal killed Orn, Kelaria, and Ruballo, but a person! Probably an Outcast! The village is divided on this and several meetings and quarrels are held on the topic. Does your character:

  • Stand on the side of the worried, the frightened, and/or superstitious? A person killed them? Who would be so violent other than an Outcast? No one is safe outside the village. Give a sentence or few to explain.
  • Stand on the side of the neutral, the unsure, and/or the skeptic? It's been almost a year since those three went missing, how is Morden so sure it was a person and not an animal? There's no way Outcasts can actually survive outside the village. Give a sentence or few to explain.
  • Stand on the side of the vengeful, the angry, and/or the protective? This injustice cannot stand! Hunt them down! Give a sentence or few to explain.
  • Other. Give a sentence or few to explain.
robbedragon01/09/2024 1:58 PM
This news sent Shulbari into a furious rage. "I'll kill every last one of those cowards!" he roared. A part of him was pissed at the outsiders but, most of all, he was angry at himself for letting cowards and criminals infest the woodlands so close to his home. He failed to protect the villagers and someone needed to pay.
DBPyrat01/10/2024 10:43 PM
Gunnar refused to believe it, no one could live outside the village. He had been a small child when his family fled to HollowOak but having traversed the inhospitable terrain he simply couldn't swallow that tale. "Sounds like something you tell children to keep them in at night."
Revel01/11/2024 12:00 PM
Osha was concerned, of course, people were dead, but how, after so long, was it obvious who or what killed the people? She didn't want to question anyone but she hadn't been there, so she could only go on what Morden and his party were saying, it was difficult for her to accept, she had seen how difficult people had it outside the village, how was it possible people out there were surviving, not just surviving but living well enough to be able to harm others. Well, depsite her misgivings she would protect the village, it was her home now, even though she was unsire.
Luna01/11/2024 12:35 PM
Tailisen was angered at hearing the news of the murders and gripped his fists, which were still a bit tender and sensitive from the rash he had somehow gotten. Darn color dyes, darn outsiders, curse it all!! "Let's make them pay. We can't stand by this injustice." he groaned, priming his fingers in the shape of a pistol. "I'm ready. I'll give em a soaking!"
robbedragon01/14/2024 12:58 AM
Cochran paced back and forth outside the great hall. He'd just heard the news about the deaths of the missing hunters and he wasn't sure what to do. Theft from the outsiders was bad enough but to think they'd actually escalate to murder? A part of him wondered if this was a coordinated attack and whether the hunter who brought pelts in each year was involved. Had the village been allowing a murderer in the city gates this entire time. He needed to alert the elders to banish that vile woman from ever entering again.
robbedragon01/14/2024 1:03 AM
Raja looked down at his fingernails. He'd been chewing on them to calm his nerves and now they were absolutely ruined. "Curse those outsiders...." he hissed. "We're safe within the city walls, right?" he demanded loudly, hoping someone anyone would say yes, even if it was a lie. Outsiders had the harshest conditions to fight through and not only were they surviving but they seemed to be thriving out there in the untamed wilderness.
Rainyaviel01/14/2024 1:28 AM
After her initial shock had worn off at Morden's thoughts about the missing villagers Quinn shook her head. The more she thought about it the more she found it suspicious that more information had been found so long after the disappearances. Many had gone out to look for the missing trio, she had been one of them in fact, and found nothing. She didn't say it out loud but she began to wonder if perhaps they were being manipulated, for what purpose, she wasn't sure but she began to keep a closer eye on things and listen in on anything she could to try and gather more information on her own.
Rainyaviel01/14/2024 1:32 AM
When word broke that their missing villagers had been murdered Nayzee was quick to join the side of those wanting to take action. If there were people outside the village lurking and waiting for opportunities to take them out then they needed to be dealt with quickly. If not, Nayzee feared the village may enter a lockdown situation and that would eventually mean they ran out of resources. As a cook she would not allow anyone to go hungry and so she packed a bag, ready to head out if and when a group was put together to search out the murderers and show them what happens when you kill for sport. In the back of her mind, Nayzee knew that she was more willing to support this cause because it drew some of the negativity away from herself and the other Alvia in town but she tried not to let that be her main motivation.
Swamp Siren01/14/2024 4:02 PM
At the thought of murder Cole was determined to avenge them. Time did not matter. He would see their lost lives honored.
Swamp Siren01/14/2024 4:04 PM
Regardless of how sick she had been Anastasia would not stand by as people in her life died. She would help hunt them down.
Revel01/15/2024 5:35 PM
Nari was frightened, first she got quite ill, and then she learned that the three missing people were killed, and by Outcasts? she knew it was POSSIBLE to survive outside the village but surely they'd be too busy with their own survival to want to kill people.. but then outcasts were outcasts for a reason. She did wonder if the gates were connected to the killings though ... she knew Osha was the first, she'd been there but what if there were others that came out in the meantime? Bad people...

NatiStorm How it played out
@robbedragon The village heard Shulbari's words.... and though many wanted to bring the Outcasts to justice, few would discuss it with him as his rage made people uncomfortable. Shulbari found himself back in the Care Ward after working and stressing himself sick but it was only for a few days.
@DBPyrat The village heard Gunnar's words.... and few share his opinion. Most villagers begrudged him for not taking the matter more seriously. Though he was asked about matters involving magic, Gunnar was no longer asked about matters involving the murdered villagers. Gunnar stayed in good health during the fall.
@Revel The village heard Osha's words.... and many agreed with her and shared her opinion on the matter. She won the approval of more elders who appreciated her willingness to help. Osha was invited to every main meeting during the year and her opinion was always held in high regard. Osha remained in good health during the fall.
@Luna The village heard Tailisen's words.... and many agreed with him and shared his feelings on the matter. He won the approval of a few elders and was called on for his opinion in several meetings. Seasonal allergies kept Tailisen sniffling throughout the fall.
@robbedragon The village heard Cochran's words.... and most dismissed his worries with very few taking him seriously. Cochran had mild seasonal allergies during the fall.
@robbedragon The village heard Raja's words.... and many agreed and shared his feelings on the matter. Raja had mild seasonal allergies during the fall.
@Rainyaviel The village heard Quinn's words.... and many agreed and shared her suspicions on the matter. Quinn remained in great health during the fall.
@Rainyaviel The village heard Nayzee's words.... and many agreed and shared her feelings on the matter. She won the approval of a few elders who appreciated her planning ahead. Nayzee remained in decent health during the fall.
@Swamp Siren The village heard Cole's words.... and most dismissed his worries with very few taking him seriously. Cole had seasonal allergies during the fall.
@Swamp Siren The village heard Anastasia's words.... and many agreed and shared her feelings on the matter. She won the approval of a few elders who admired her determination. Anastasia recovered and remained in good health during the fall.
@Revel The village heard Nari's words.... and once again, most paid her very little attention. Nari had mild seasonal allergies during the fall.

Year 1 - Final Prompt The villagers of HollowOak were not able to pursue the Outcasts due to a terrible blizzard, the likes of which no one has ever seen, that came early in the season. Many villagers left their usual living quarters and sought refuge in the Main Hall or the Mess Hall Tavern early on in the storm. Does your character:

  • Join the others in the Main Hall? Give a sentence or few to explain.
  • Join the others in the Mess Hall Tavern? Give a sentence or few to explain.
  • Stay put at home? Give a sentence or few to explain.
Other? Give a sentence or few to explain.
robbedragon01/10/2024 9:48 PM
Shulbari decided to stick with the crowd in the main hall so that he could keep an eye on the village and keep them safe. He still wanted to bring the outcasts to justice but, for now, he could do nothing but stand back and keep watch.
DBPyrat01/10/2024 11:03 PM
Gunnar remained at his forge, keeping the flames tended and trying to complete some work to pass the freezing days. And while he kept a healthy stash of food around his work area he was starting to eye his pet boar before the weather broke.
Revel01/11/2024 3:04 PM
Osha was happy to be part of the meetings now, she could learn so much more about what she was unable to remember. When the blizzard came in, Osha was at first excited, but she realised that the longer she was out in the cold, the more danger she was in of freezing completely over. Short periods were good however, and more than once she had apparently stunned villagers because as the frost crept over her, she sparkled, especially if the day was clear. She didn't like to be isolated so despite the risks whenever she left her home, she often met in the Main Hall, not missing any meetings if she could help it, though she kept nearer to the fireplace than she had before.
Luna01/14/2024 2:26 PM
Tialisen joined the others in the mess hall. if they were to be hold up, he was going to be somewhere where the food was. Warmth could be gotten with extra pelts, furs, etc, but he couldn't magically create food.
robbedragon01/14/2024 11:05 PM
Cochran doubted anyone would take him seriously but, he thought it wise to stick close to the elders in the main hall so he could easily get news as it was needed. He tried to give his opinion on matters but, with his luck, every time he tried to say something, someone would speak over him. "We need to build up our defenses and form a guard of some kind...." he muttered for the hundredth time.

Raja decided the best place to wait out the cold was in the main hall. He would've preferred where he could partake in booze, food and the warmth of the massive fire but Shulbari had stayed in the main hall and, if he was lucky enough, he could snuggle up with the hot head under the guise of needing to share body heat.

Given she was pretty much ignored about her opinions, she figured she would head to the mess hall tavern there was usually hot food there and others to keep company, she didn't realyl feel like being stuck, alone at home in the weather, it felt like a bad idea to be isolated right now

Cole would stick close to his brother. "I believe my brother has good points."

Anastasia would stay at the tavern. She'd talk with others and consider scouting around the village to protect everyone.

As a blizzard swept in it became more important than ever for Quinn to keep up on her stock of herbs. As much as she wanted to go spend time in the warmer main hall or the mess hall she wrapped herself in her warmest clothing and dutifully tended to anyone who was ill and arrived at the care ward or needed visits at their own bedside.

Nayzee quickly realized it was easier to just stay at the mess hall than to trudge back and forth through the snow. She brought some blankets with her and set up a cot on the outer edge of the building so she was able to tend to the fire as well as all of the extra food and drinks that were being consumed during the cold weather.

NatiStorm How it played out
@robbedragon Shulbari kept his wits about him during the storm and was able to keep a vigilant eye on those in the Main Hall. Unfortunately being around so many in close quarters made it impossible for Shulbari to escape the flu that spread through the hall. He could hardly remember a time he'd been so sick.
@DBPyrat Gunnar did not take well to being shut in for so long and ended up with cabin fever! Unfortunately the restless and irritable blacksmith made some poor decisions during his isolation and ended up with a horrible case of food poisoning.
@Revel Osha did not keep her wits about her as the cabin fever set in. In her restlessness she refused to stay in one place and made some poor timing choices. Fortunately she managed to stay in good health throughout the winter. Do Elamels even get sick? So far Osha proves they don't!
@Luna Tailisen didn't do well being cooped up with so many others in the Main Hall and made some bad decisions during his stay. Being in such close quarters with everyone else, Tailisen caught the flu when it started going around. He can't remember ever being this sick before.
@robbedragon Cochran had a difficult time being confined with the others in the Main Hall for so long. Other than getting a little stir crazy, Cochran remained in good health during the winter.
@robbedragon Raja did not handle being cooped up in the Main Hall well at all and made some poor decisions. Raja caught the flu that was going around the Main Hall. He can't remember a time he was this sick.
@Revel Nari kept her wits about her as she spent her time with the others in the Mess Hall Tavern. Overall it was a good time. Nari got a case of the sniffles during the winter.
@Rainyaviel Quinn kept her wits about her as she traveled through the blizzard to help those in need. Unfortunately she caught the flu that was going around the Main Hall when she stopped by.
@Rainyaviel Nayzee did not handle being cooped up in the Mess Hall Tavern day and night and it showed. Nayzee remained in good health during the winter.
@Swamp Siren Cole did not handle being confined to the Main Hall and got very stir crazy. Cole remained in decent health during the winter.
@Swamp Siren Anastasia kept her wits about her and had a jolly good time staying at the tavern. Anastasia managed to stay in okay health during the winter.
