Now the storm had subsided, Farren breathed easy. No more angry clouds looming above him, and the sea was calm and inviting. It was time to hit the beach! As the sun rose, he threw on his flip-flops and strode to the shore with a bounce in his step. With his first battle under his belt, he decided it was probably a good idea to train up his pokemon. What if a wild pokemon had bothered him the last time he went out on an excursion? He needed to make sure that, not only could he defend himself, but that his pokemon wouldn't get hurt in the process. Besides, he thought it was time for the gang to meet their newest friend, Misty! Poor thing hadn't been out of her ball since he got her in that trade. And so, with a flick of his wrist and three flashes of red, Brook, Storm and Misty were all present at the shoreline.

"Hey, you guys. Misty," He looked up at the majestic Lapras, "It's an honor. This is Brook and Storm, and I'm Farren. Let's work together, yeah?" He asked with a grin.

The first day of training was going to be fun, he'd decided. And so he and his two much smaller Pokemon climbed onto Misty's shell and rode the waves, practicing their team work and trust as they did so.

Farren was tired after their first day of training. Misty the Lapras was beautiful and strong, but he wasn't quite ready to work with her, he felt. And so, the Alolan took only two Pokeballs to his beach spot today.

Once settled in the cool sand, he pulled out Storm first. Brook seemed to prefer the beach after the sun had warmed it more. The little Chingling bounced about, ringing happily as Farren struggled to hold the little guy's attention. Overall, Storm listened to him a few times, which was something at least! He'd keep at it, he decided, returning the bell pokemon to his ball.

One Brook was out and about, enjoying the soft, hot sand on her belly, Farren decided to test her obedience as well. The stubborn little crocodile ignored him for a bit, as she preferred to snooze in the sun than sit and stay on command. But with enough snacks, they began to make progress.

The tall auburn-haired young man stood with his feet in the sand, rolling one of his shoulders. The sun was up, the surf was calm, and today, his Pokemon seemed to be in a good mood. Time to start some training, he thought!

Storm was looking stronger now, his bell-like voice a bit brassier, Farren liked to imagine. He focused on teaching the tiny Pokemon concentration, as its attention seemed to be all over the place, most of the time! It went well enough. They managed to sit together quietly for almost ten minutes!

Brook needed some control training. Sometimes she got a bit carried away when they played and those teeth were no joke. By the end of it, Farren was bandaging his forearm and assuring a sorry-looking Totodile that he would be just fine.

Over all, the training session went well! Maybe he was starting to get the hang of this.
