"Alright Rain Drop we are gonna work on getting you to listen to me." Zak spoke letting the torchic out of its pokeball. The torchic landed on the floor with a small "chic." almost instantly turning away from its trainer the naughty pokemon having something else on its mind.

"Since after all it has been a problem of late. We should get used to one another if we are gonna be partners." Zak sat on the floor. "Now Rain Drop come here." he commanded trying something simple to start.

the blue torchic just ignored the first command its feathers puffing up more as it rose its beak to the air with a little "Tor".

"Rain Drop come" Zak spoke once more, but once again the torchic ignored him. Zak tried a few more times only to get the same result over and over again.

Finally Zak pulled out a small pile of seeds placing them in the palm of his hand. "Rain Drop Come" He spoke almost ready to give up, but the enticing seeds caused the small torchic to listen at least once. Although a small victory he would take it.

Once again Zak let Rain Drop out of its pokeball and began to try to reinforce what they had done yesterday. Though like yesterday the Torchic did not want to listen to its trainer. Still learning who they were, though all the blue torchic knew was that yesterday it had gotten food, so maybe today would be the same.

This time Zak was ready, even if he had to tempt his pokemon with food to listen at least it would listen. Controlling a Pokémon with the use of food was defiantly one way to train them. Though hopefully they would eventually listen to him with out the use of food. Battles though seemed to work out fine it was outside of battle that the pokemon seemed to have a mind of its own.

"Alright Rain Drop, come," he spoke holding out a palm with a single berry within it. This time Rain Drop listen. Zak continued reinforcing the command with food.

This time Zak was ready with a pile of food for his third time working with Rain Drop. The Torchic seemed to respond more to food then anything else so he figured reinforcing his commands with it was the best way to go currently. The bird had gotten come quite a bit now after his last two sessions with him. But, now it was time to see how well he could get the torchic to listen when it was doing something naughty.

Letting Rain Drop out of the pokeball he let the blue torchic explore his room. There was really no command from Zak this time rather he let the bird do its own thing. Up until it started to do something it wasn't suppose to like finding one of Zak's research notebooks and beginning to peck or scratch at it.

"Rain Drop, No." Zak said firm waiting for the bird to stop. When it didn't he returned it to its pokeball and then started the process again.

When Rain Drop finally listened that is when Zak gave the bird food.

3 Successes!

After figuring out that food was the trick to train his torchic Zak did so constantly. Always have a bit of the torchics favorite foods on him at all times so he could reward the bird for good behavior. So today for training instead of using food it was time to test out the birds ember attack to see how well he could hit the targets.

Zak had set up several piles of wet wood in the far clear area, so even if Rain Drop missed they wouldn't set anything on fire. "Alright Rain Drop" he spoke releasing the bird from the pokeball. "We are gonna work on your acuracy today. "

Rain Drop tilted its head to the side then took a glance at the targets. "I want you to hit those with your ember attack" He told the bird pointing at the wooden log piles. "I think you can do it if you try." he encouraged him.

The torchic gave a little peep before it attacked with ember, sending three little fire balls at the targets. Hitting 2 out of the 3 targets with them. "Good job, Good job" he spoke pulling out a couple of seeds out of his pocket to give to Rain Drop for a good job done.
