Whats their story? (over)

Welcome to what's their story.

Here you and a partner will come up with a story for the two buns below. These two buns were from my d&d alignment box, and though you can take inspiration for their story from them you do not have to.

We got our Lawfully good Doe and our Lawfully Evil Buck

Now all that is up to you is to tell me what their story is. Are they friends, Enemies, friend-enemies mates, ect. How/where did they meet? What is their typical interaction like when they cross paths? What are their personalities like? What future plots do you have for them?

One future plot has to involve either Mudspot or Stormy Dawn both are my neutral buns from this box and are blank slates that can be used accordingly.

Doe Name: Dandy Lion

Buck Name: Spurge Laurel

Doe Personality: Calm, peaceful, and sweet are Dandys most admirable traits. Her understanding and loving heart allows for her to be oh-so-good to others. She is ok with just going with the flow and not everything has to be planned out in her mind. Though she has been known to put her paw down when there is a chance of total chaos good or bad. She is no pushover and though she is sweet if another rabbit was ever in danger she would gladly give her life to defend or save them.

Buck Personality: Fastidious and orderly, Laurel abhors anything chaotic in his life to the point where he will uproot otherwise useful plants and destroy dens that don’t precisely follow neat-and-tidy lines. He has a rigorously strict moral code… it’s just not a good one. Nothing is above the order and organization that he craves, and he’s not afraid to harm another rabbit to get exactly what he desires.

Their Story:

An old carcass sits in the middle of a field. Laurel despises the sight of it, ugly and grotesque, blocking the perfect order of his territory. And with it comes ravens, cawing and crowing an obscene cacophony of horrendous noises. Laurel, despite his diminutive size, determines to do something about it.

Dandy travels to collect some much needed herbs for an elderly hop. One of the great black birds spots her and tries to drive her off, injuring her in the process. Laurel sees the benefit in having another rabbit around - especially to clean up these old bones - and leaps at the raven to scare it away. The ravens aren’t well minded for a fight and stick to their easy meal instead.

Laurel drags Dandy back to his den - huffing and puffing all the while - and determines the doe has a broken leg. An unsightly image that Laurel must now deal with. Laurel spends his days tending to Dandy and over the course of the season it takes for Dandy’s leg to heal, the two slowly - begrudgingly - fall for one another.

Continued Plots for them

• While out collecting herbs, Dandy happens across Mudspot and the two strike up an interesting friendship. Mudspot’s blase attitude is intriguing and Dandy finds the tiny doe quite fascinating. Eventually, Laurel wants to meet this strange doe his mate has been speaking too. It’s been a while since he’s run into another dwarf, but after some getting used to, he… tolerates Mudspot well enough.
  • Perhaps Mudspot finds herself in a tricky pickle at some point, and both Laurel and Dandy offer to help her out of it.
  • Laurel and Dandy offer their den to Mudspot when she chooses to leave Luremire, as a place to stay until she gets used to the land of giants.

• Stormy Dawn - a rabbit who fancies himself a master of all sorts of tricks - takes up residence near Dandy and Laurel’s burrow, and Laurel is furious. Stormy is always causing a ruckus and digging holes all over the place with no rhyme or reason. Laurel vows to get revenge against the chaotic rabbit! While Dandy attempts to hold the dwarf back from his machinations.

Buck Name: Shadow Walker
Doe Personality: Her 'bun-people' are known as 'The Knights of Light' fighting for and protecting what is good and just in the world. Li as those close to her call her is one of the 4 generals of The Knights. She is kind and caring but also strong and steadfast. She is loyal and trusting to a fault(once her trust is earned). She not one to question their ways and laws but are the guards all really as bad as she has grown up to believe?
Buck Personality: Comes from a 'bun-people' known as 'The Dark Guard', believed to work among and along side the shadows and have a reputation for the unsavory, only they know the truth of this however, and they care not for the rumors and what others think of them. Shadow is rowdy and playful when around those he is comfortable with and has a reputation of being a bit of a prankster from time to time as well. On the flip side, business means business! When its time for patrol or anything Guard related you best be on your toes because he is serious about it! He doesn't question his orders or the rules and he is a great listener with a big heart though he may hide it through the pranks and seriousness at times.
Their Story: Warring neighbors but without any new conflicts in recent years but the border guards had to remain vigilant! Night patrol however was not something Light usually did so she wasn’t 'in her element' and wandered past her 'bun-peoples' border without realizing it. It didn’t take long for her worst nightmare and enemy to find her…or so she thought.

It was a normal night patrol for Shadow, nothing out of the ordinary, they rotate night shift duty for the border. At that moment he was cursing it but later he would find himself thankful for it. He was near the border line when a rustle from the distance caught his attention then a bright colored doe came into view. She did not belong, she was an enemy!! But, she was sure acting strange!

It was a genuine stand-off when they both became aware of each others prescience. Light not realizing she was the one trespassing at first called Shadow some unseemly things but something about her amused Shadow so he let his guard down and antagonized her more. He started to have fun with her and tease her until she finally realized she was over the border not him.

Light was very embarrassed and she turned to leave as soon she realized she had crossed their border but Shadow apologized for giving her a hard time and offered to escort her. She was weary of him but didn’t sense anything malicious from him and agreed. They chatted as they went and gradually they got comfortable with each other and ended up chatting just shy of Light's border until day break. Though hesitant Light agreed to meet with him again soon.
Continued Plots for them
They met a few different times after that and slowly started talking to one another. They never truly had conversations, just a few words here and there in crossing. It took a lot of time before they truly started to talk to one another. Trust had to be created between them before they would sit and talk to each other.
He had grown to enjoy pushing her buttons and seeing how much she could take but she gave back twice of what he dished out. They would bicker sometimes but was capable of getting along.

Before too long, they started to question what they have grown up to believe as true. They both decide to look a little deeper into the history and come up with different reasons which leads them to fight / argue causing a rift between them.

Unbeknownst to them, they had an audience on the few occasions that they would meet and talk to each other. Mudspot was a neutral party and could cross between territories without question. The female was there on the fateful day the doe accidentally crossed into the other territory. She was going to stop her and guide her back but the buck got to her first.

Mudspot decided to hide and see what was going to take place. She continued to come back to the diving line between the territories and watched them converse sometimes. She happened to be there when they fought and the rift was formed. She wanted to come out of hiding and talk to them so they would continue to be friends but decided it best to stay hidden. It wasn't really any of her business but she enjoyed watching the two of them talk.

Quite a bit of time passes with her continuing to come to the diving line but she never saw them. It took a bit more time before she brought herself to come to the doe. She thought she could talk to the doe and bring her around easier than the buck. After her conversation with the doe, she does go back to the dividing line and apologize to the buck who in turns does the same. This leads to them admitting they missed each other's company.
After a lot more conversations and meetings they decided to work together to figure out the truth in hopes of bringing peace and the possibility of their friendship not being so secret anymore.

I really enjoyed the story it was intriguing as well as the conflict idea you came up with for these two. The dynamic between them is pretty epic and their desire to work out this 'romeo x Juliet' type conflict is what made me fall in love with them. I can't wait to see how their story progresses.
