✦ ⋯ About Customs

These rules encompass all standard customs unless otherwise notified. Some events and artist threads may have different rules, which will be noted within their respective threads.

  • There is no set standard rule for how artists make their thread. Read everything before posting, as there will be differences between each artist.
  • Send payment upon confirmation of a win. Artists will not begin work until paid. The shop operates on a pay-what-you-want system, focusing on Basilisk Stew credits.
  • Keep up on custom forms. It is not up to artists to delete repeat forms in their thread if the custom is taken in a different custom thread or event. Check if an artist prefers deleted posts, or posts stricken out.
  • Pet trades (where an artist from Ponporri makes a semi-custom/custom in exchange for a semi-custom/custom from another shop) are only permitted between Ponporri and their sibling shops.
  • Players can request unedited or edited porri/dreambeans. Characters created using only templates is considered unedited, while those with unique-to-them templates are considered edited.
  • Players cannot use Pinterest as inspiration, unless it's to post a color-only palette without any other imagery.
  • Different stage/lineset templates cannot mix together (for example, a horn set on a kit cannot be used on an adult, dreambean templates cannot be used on a pon, etc).
  • Cosplays are not limited to one per shop. There can be repeats of cosplays.
  • Gain permission before using anyone’s characters as a reference. This must be either linked to, or shown as a screenshot. Moderators may reach out to confirm validity of screenshots.
  • AI art cannot be used as inspiration, nor can adoptables/commissions not owned by the player posting. Repeatedly posting AI images can result in artists choosing to no longer take on that players customs.
  • Conversions of adoptables owned by the player must have proof of ownership shown, either as a link to a cert/location where their username is present, or screenshot. Moderators may reach out to confirm validity of screenshots.

Below is a list of standard custom slots one can expect to see. Some colorists might choose to run a method different than usual.

Some artists may have their own additional types of customs, which will be listed within their artist thread.

Blindbox: Players who just want something! Posting for a blindbox indicates they’re willing to receive anything.
Semi-Custom: A custom based on a series of colors, an image, music, or other creative medias. Usually, players can request a stage they’d like, but it depends on the artist. Pinterest cannot be used, aside from color-only palettes with no imagery attached.
Full Custom: The design is fully thought of by the player and written down to articulate exactly what they want. Typically, this also means they’ll receive WIPs of the project.

Customs paid for by real-life currency are called RLC Customs. They have a few rules of their own, some additional and others replacing previous rules.

  • Some artists are allowed to take RLC and can launch sales on the Discord and/or have slots open within their artist thread.
  • Paypal is the accepted method of payment, as invoices will be sent for purchases.
  • Send payment upon confirmation of a win. Artists will not begin work until paid.
  • Pricing is up to the individual artist.
  • Do not bribe artists. Utilize their artist thread (if they host RLC sales here), or within their Discord sales. Attempts to privately bribe an artist will result in a blacklisting with no exception.
