That helps a lot. Only question I have left is, are there any limitations on what villagers I can ask for? Like, I can take a guess not to ask for any that were made for the event, but any others off limit?

No others should be off limits. The only thing is you can't pick to have a cosplay of the same race - like, you could have a Bob rabbit, but not a Bob cat. We do this to prevent any grumblings about the "real" cosplays. XD
