Blood in the Air [Discord LOG]

Leo always slept in the same place, they didn't really have a home, but they liked it that way. It was a bed of flowers just outside of homes and dwellings of other ponies. So when ponies wished to find Leo it was always and easy thing to do.If he wasn't at the flowers he wasn't far probably only left for food or if someone lead him away. Tonight though was different, the flowers were still and there were no signs of Leo or the sounds of his light snoring. He was gone and something would seem off. Closer into the flowers one would notice the flowers crushed which was also unlike Leo he was careful to not harm the flowers he slept in. And if one looked closer of had a keen nose, they would find droplets of Leo's blood on some of the crushed flowers.

Koray had trotted towards the usual spot he would find his friend Leo in. He enjoyed the skunk like pony's company, especially the snuggles. The other would fall asleep almost randomly sometimes, to which Koray happily helped get him to a safe sleeping spot. Today, however, he just wanted to see his friend. As he neared the usual spot, he could smell something was off. Frowning, he trotted closer to the flowers. "Leo?" he asked, before realizing his friend wasn't there. Perhaps he was getting a snack? But something caught Koray's eye... a crushed flower? And another... Koray let out a soft whine, before leaning over the flowers delicately to take a little sniff. Leo had been there recently... was that... blood?! Koray's eyes went wide as he reeled back, whipping his head about to try to see if there were any hoofprints leading away. "Leo?!" he said a bit louder, dancing in one spot anxiously.

There were two sets of hoof prints leading away from the towns. The two sets soon changed to one and something or someone being dragged. Thorn was keeping to the shadows but he was dragging Leo back to his coven. They always needing live in blood bags this one was weak and he had watched him for days , he was pretty sure no one of real threat would come looking for this pony. Sure he seemed to have friends and visitors but no one seemed to Thorn at least to be that attached. Leo had run at first then the meek little skunk he was had given up. Thorn had bit into his neck and was dragging him. Leo shivered to scared to move or anything that might upset this what ever it was that had a hold of him.

After a few moments of panic, Koray's ears tilted back against his head and he trotted along after the hoof prints. When he realized that something was being dragged, his pace picked up. Another whine left him, before turning more into a growl, eyes narrowed as he scurried along, eventually breaking into a full on sprint. "Leo!" he barked out as he ran, incredibly intent on whoever or whatever had his friend.

Leo heard the bark his ears perking up. "Kor......." Leo started but then looked up at the glowing red eyes that glared at him. He worried that Koray might get hurt. "Koray run away!" Leo yelled. Thorn chomped down on Leo more and he yelped before Thorn stopped turning to see who was coming. The wolf morph? He laughed that thing was more a puppy then a wolf from what he had seen. He spat Leo out and pinned him under on of his hooves. "Better listen to your friend here!" Thorn growled.

Koray's ears perked the second he heard his name, but when Leo yelped... boy oh boy. Koray let loose a snarl, lips drawn back, eyes narrowed, ears pinned to his head. "Let him go!" the wolf pony shouted, barreling down on the bat. He couldn't gauge size differences from too far away, but the other looked like a bat. They were strong and big enough to pin Leo down, but Koray was pretty standard for an earth pony. Six foot or so at the shoulders. However, even with the thought of this other pony being larger, he did not care. He barreled down on the other, turning at the last minute to slam his shoulder into the side of the kidnapper in an attempt to body slam him off of Leo.

Thorn was taken by surprise honestly he had not expected such an aggressive move from the puppy like wolf. He staggered and shook himself his armor clanking side to side. Leo gasped they sat up with the hood off of them. But looked between Koray and Thorn terrified. "Get lost puppy, I need your friend here. Don't worry I'll feed them well and give them shelter so just back off." Thorn stomped a hoof and bared his fangs with a hiss.

Koray stumbled back as well, before leaping over Leo to make sure he was between the two of them. His hackles raised as his front end lowered slightly, lips still pulled back, baring his pearly whites. Another growl left him. "If you needed Leo for some sort of help, you should have asked! What the hell is wrong with ponies these days?!" He never cursed. Ever. But he was pissed. His tail was also low, nearly brushing the ground, ready to leap up at the other pony despite their armor.

Leo looked up at Koray amazed they couldn't believe how strong Koray looked right now. Leo felt safe even though his neck was bleeding and a terrifying pony was staring them both down. Thorn pinned his ears he could fight Koray and take Leo but if he did that Koray would likely come after Leo. So he either had to kill Koray or leave Leo, the kingdom needed ponies no one would come for. "Not many ponies are willing to be live in blood bags and thats what I wanted of your friend here." Thorn hissed he moved to snap at Koray just to see if he could spook the wolf away. Rather a last ditch effort to test how far Koray would go to protect Leo. Leo gave a frightened whinny as Thorn snapped at Koray so afraid Koray would be hurt on his account.

Koray snorted at the pony. "I think you'd be surprised. Ponies donate blood to hospitals all the time." When the other leaned in and snapped at him, Koray did pull back. But one paw raised up and lashed out at Thorn, a warning bark leaving him whether he hit the pony or not. Green eyes glittered, unblinking, lips still drawn back. "Try asking. Some ponies would be willing to help," he said, taking a step back, forcing Leo to do the same behind him.

Thorn laughed. "Yes let me just do that and watch as the vampire hunters use it as a trap!" Thorn hissed and managed to dodge that paw. "Fine then...your loyalty has spared your friend this night.....The kingdom has need of ponies that will not be so much trouble." He hissed and flicked his tail before moving to leave. Leo had moved as Koray had forced him to back up. They gasped as the bat seemed to be leaving just surprised and well impressed with Koray. Leo seemed to stay still till the vampire seemed to blend in with the shadows. "Koray you saved me.." Leo moved to get up and nuzzle Koray tears streaming down their face, they had been so scared.

Koray stood ridigly as the bat turned and moved off, staring into the place they disappeared. Even as Leo nuzzled against him he didn't move. Not for a few moments. When he finally thought the bat gone, he relaxed, turning to lift a paw and place it over the others shoulders, pulling Leo close to nuzzle against his neck. "Are you okay?' he asked, looking down at his friend worriedly.

"My neck hurts but I'm mostly just frightened I think." Leo admitted as they rather clung to Koray. "You looked so strong Koray I've never seen you act like that. Thank you for saving me. Who knows where that bat was going to take me." Leo shivered thinking about it.

A soft sigh left the wolf as he licked at Leo's neck to try to clean it. He held the other in place with his strong paw, before finally releasing him. "Come on. We should get you looked at... There's no telling what he could have done to you," Koray said with a half whine, pulling his oaw back to gently nudge Leo along with his side.

Leo closed there eyes and seemed to stop shivering at Koray licked them. "Oh I didn't think of that....ok...." Leo moved a little wobbly Thorn had drank abit from Leo when he first caught them. "I was just a sleep in the flower bed and just out of the darkness that thing jumped me....was it a pony....it looked like a bat,but different." Leo rambled a bit. "Im so lucky you noticed I was not there."

"He looked like a really big bat. If he had just wanted blood, I would have happily helped him," he harrumphed, huffing as he helped Leo move along.

Once Leo had been looked over by a doctor and been okayed to go home, Koray escorted him. He did get a little antsy thinking about Leo just laying in the flowers again, so before they reached them, he stopped. "why don't you stay with me? I don't have any clients for the next few days..."

It seemed Leo was in the doctors often they new them when they went in, it had to do with his condition and all. Leo seemed a bit more quite then normal shaken up by the whole thing. "Huh?" Leo blinked out of his thought and looked to their flower bed in the distance. "Are you sure I wouldn't be a burden? I am a little spooked I would love the company." Leo nodded.

Koray was nearly vibrating anxiously, waiting for Leo's reply. When the other finally replied, Koray nodded vigorously, his tail wrapping around Leo's tail securely. "You are never a burden, Leo," he said, nuzzling against the other's shoulder. "Come stay with me tonight. It'll be a lot harder for something to happen again." Koray started towards his place, gently guiding Leo, suddenly fiercely protective and clingy of his dear friend.
