Character Overview: Zakiax considers himself to be a knight of the small. He will protect the small creatures around him. His friends he will protect with his life, and he considers all life precious. When he's not protecting anyone he will always have a smile upon his face for he looks upon the bright side of life. He loves small children and loves to teach other about Pokémon.
Five Likes:
- Pokémon - Mainly Fire and Dragon and Baby Types
- Small Children - As a bit of a child at heart himself Zak loves to play with small children.
- Sweets - Zak has a bit of a sweet tooth and will always have some candies on hand.
- Friends - Whether they be Pokémon or human Zak will always cherish the friends he makes along his journeys.
- Camping - Zak prefers to be within nature. Though he doesn’t mind civilization it's just he's had better experiences out in nature with his Pokémon.
Five Dislikes:
- His brother - Zephar and Him do not see eye to eye when it comes to raising Pokémon.
- Bullies - He dislikes people who use their position to look down on the weak.
- Meat - Zak's a Vegetarian!
- Broken writing utensils - Always keeping a journal about his observations while in nature it's always a bummer to have a pen or writing utensil that does not work properly.
- Small Spaces - Being an outdoorsy type of person small spaces are not his jam he prefers the freedom of open air.
Hobbies:
- Pokémon Research - Zakiax likes to research the different ways Fire and dragon types interact and effect their environment, and how the environment affects them. Zak can take weeks to months watching a single type of Pokémon and how they live. Though this can usually be seen as his job Zak sees it more as a hobby then anything else.
- Baking - Zak likes to bake as a way of showing his love to both his friends and his Pokémon. Though since his research has him camp out a lot he rarely gets to do so.
- Sketching - Among his research notes are often sketches of Pokémon he's observed.
- Crossword Puzzles - Zak enjoys a challenging crossword Puzzle from time to time as a breather from everything else around him.
Three Strengths:
- Honest - Zak will not lie and will always give his honest opinion even if it could hurt the other parties feelings. He believes that being open with someone is a way to keep ones trust in the end.
- Memory - Zak has a very good memory, mostly with names and faces, but usually he can recall the specifics research he has worked on in the past. Though if it is something he has read and did not have a hand in it usually takes him a bit longer to recall the information.
- Collaboration - Zak is very good at working in a team on a project. He believes sharing information is the best way there is to learn about how Pokémon and nature work together.
- Public Speaking - Though he's fine in small groups speaking up about something in a large group setting is always unsettling for him. Presenting his research to a larger group has been an issue in the past
- Too Trusting - Since Zak always tries to see the good in everyone Zak will usually trust everyone he meets. Its over time where he will either lose trust in a person. There have been times that trusting someone out right has burned him.
- Quick to act - Zak has always been quick to act without observing the situation fully, especially with those in trouble. Which often gets him in trouble, usually more when it comes to hurt or trapped Pokémon.
History:
Zakiax lived in Kanto near Mt. Moon in a simple household. He has an older brother who left on his Pokémon journey a few years before he did, and has always cherished his childhood memories with him. Though after leaving for his own journey and finding his love for fire and dragon types he reunited with his brother once more only to find the path he had gone on was not one he remember looking up to as a child. The two fought multiple times wrenching a hole into their once close relationship.
After the split from his brother Zak found himself immersed in his research, spending months in nature observing Pokémon in their natural habitat. Mainly doing so as a way to avoid contact with his brother, and the constant fighting that always is associated with their reunion. After a few years of traveling to different regions with his Pokémon immersed in the research society he heard of the Nauwill Region and decided to go and put his skills to the test.
