The language of cats among themselves can be subtle and intricate, but with their Twolegs and kits, they can be more vocal in their communication attempts. Have you ever tried to meow back to a cat in attempts at understanding? Have you ever wondered what you may have said to them, or vice versa?

The black and white cat above is a kittypet with a specific interest - communication with their Twolegs! They're quite active whenever their people come home, this cat struggles to communicate in a way that's effective. What I want to know, however, is how they try to communicate with their people. Is it a matter of caterwauling - what're they saying to their Twolegs? Have they mastered the art of subtle hints, rubbing up on legs for attention, rather than howling until they're noticed? Maybe they've figured out an age old kittypet way of getting attention from Twolegs - pushing objects off of tall heights!

Cat Name: Born as Moonbeam, twolegs call him Oreo
Brief Personality: Moonbeam considers himself something of scholar. Why waste energy working harder when you could he working smarter? He recognizes twolegs as beings of great might, which some are right to fear, but if one makes the right moves, they can also be useful tools. He has fantastic dreams of grandeur and deeply desires to leave a lasting mark on the greater world. He's bold and very willing to take risks in the pursuit of knowledge and his dreams.
Why Do They Want to Communicate?: Moonbeam has always been fascinated by the world of twolegs. Perhaps because it's so much bigger and a little bit scarier that it feels grand. He grew up hearing stories of twolegs and the things they were capable of, both good and bad, and he wanted to see for himself. He craves to know more about them, why they do the things they do. Communication and observation is the first step to understanding.

Cat Name: Bessie the Cow (aka Bestie)
Brief Personality: gregarious, loud, cheerful, relaxed
Why Do They Want to Communicate?: Bestie howls in a way that sounds a lot like a cow's moo and has since he was a kitten. His first family lived on a farm and he got to roam outside with the cows from a very young age, where they could see they blended in nicely. Naturally, since he looks like one, he tried to imitate the cows that he spent so much time around. Although that family dumped Bestie at a shelter when their farm went bankrupt, he never stopped doing those moo-like howls when he wants literally anything at all. His current family, where Bestie is very happy, got him from the shelter in college because of the hilarious moo-howl - the same howl that was the reason their 2nd family returned them to the shelter after a few weeks.
Other: Has been a kittypet all his life, but this is his 3rd family. The family thought that a male cat named Bessie The Cow was very funny, especially with the mooing, but they affectionately call him Bestie instead for short. He is the center of their world.
