[CYOA] The First Floor

As Akadia searched around the DJ Booth, she was surprised to come across another pony. They didn't *look* like the giant she had heard about, but hey, maybe the rumors weren't exactly accurate. They seemed friendly enough at any rate. "Oh, hey!" She greeted them with a bright grin. "Are you looking for the DJ too? Or is that you? Maybe we could team up and look together?"

You make the choice to examine the main stage, and the thing is just MASSIVE.
The floor looks to be some kind of elaborate thick translucent plastic over monitors and you can only assume, when this place is properly lit up, that it displays an array of heartwarming colors and designs to draw the eye.
Luckily it's a pretty short stage, and you can hop up onto it with ease [did kids get up here too easily and they shut it down?]
You can see the place markers for all the mascots, as there are round portals set in the stage floor that they could rise up out of.
Most of them are properly closed, but the one farthest back seems to have one of the doors missing, and if you're so inclined you could peek inside.
But aside from that, it's pretty empty up here. There's not even a backstage area, I guess it was too modern for all that...
We can always go check out that manager's office... or maybe we should go back into the hall and try a different attraction?

What will you choose?

You weave your way past a few stray boxes, ducking from a cobweb or two, and decide to give the Staff Room door handle a test.
With a click, the door opens with a creak... and it seems you've got company.

Not quite what you expected to find, but hey, at least you're not alone?
[Hold the link for the end of the game, this isn't your official link just yet!]

The Staff Room itself is pretty small. It looks like they used to sit back here and tend to the bowling balls or keep maintenance supplies.
There is a small desk and chair, maybe you could pilfer through the drawers to find something of interest?
There doesn't seem anywhere to go from here, however, so the only other option would probably be head back out to the Bowling Alley...

[You had to beat a 97. X.x;]

The stranger fidgets, and you get the feeling they don't even want to be here. But then they suddenly reach for you, and with a very loose grip...
"Uhm... you're out."

Oh. Huh. Realization hits.
This whole thing was an elaborate experiment, and as the pony in front of you hands you a 30% off coupon for their next haunted attraction, and you can't help but feel a little suckered into it.
Eh, at least they still promised to pay you for the night...

OH NO! Oh dear, it seems you've run out of luck this time.
You can head over to the 'Game Over' thread and make a post there for a chance at ponies from other floors & a freebie companion.
And Glamrock Freddy joins the pool!

Dark Knight found no such disco ball immediately, but he started to root around in the drawers, just in case there was anything worthwhile. More worthwhile than a fairy with scary markings. He nodded his head towards it and offered it a smile before he continued to search through the drawers. At the very least, maybe he could find some extra batteries for the flickering flashlight he held. Those could always come in handy, he thought, glancing over his shoulder before he continued to look to see what he might be able to find.

You had hoped that rooting around you'd find something of use, but alas, all the old paperwork and some minor injury reports are nothing worth sparing a second glance.
There does seem to be a smaller spare flashlight tucked away in here, so you might as well take it juuust in case.
Slamming the drawer shut and coughing at the resulting dust, you swear you can hear something slip out the door.
That was creepy....
That does mean that the only way to go from here is back to the Bowling Alley. Right behind the moving shadow. Goody.

You quickly make your way up the staircase to the manager's office.
You'd expected something cushy, instead it looked more like the office for a television station. Panels lined up facing the direction of the stage, a few chairs scattered here and there...
There's not much to look at otherwise, unless you feel so inclined to press a few buttons on the panels.
But there's always the option to head back out.

Dark Knight shrugged as he grabbed the smaller flash light and then turned around, glancing at the fairy.

“Are you coming with me?” He asked and then shrugged again. “Whichever; as you like.” He added before he turned around and went back to the bowling alley.

You make the decision to head back out the Bowling Alley...
The big, looming mascot entryway still seems intimidating, even from this side of it.
Ah, right, it's dark, and your eyes take a minute to readjust.
From the looks of things, this place must've been off-limits for a while, considering there's boxes shoved in here from the other attraction areas.
Squeezing past a rather dangerous looking stack, you see where your next exploration can be.
Right ahead of you, the shoe rental is pretty well lit, maybe if you hop over the counter you can go rooting back there.
Or you can always go back out to the main entrance to see what else this place has to offer...

Which will you choose?

Having thoroughly ventured the office, you make your way back out to the main stage.
It's just as overwhelming this time as it was the first time you looked at it with rows of chairs surrounding a very large stage, with spotlights and projectors around the room that were strangely lit up, pointed at the large, glitter silver backdrop to the stage.
It seems like the stage would be a good place to be noising around...
But I suppose you could also head back out to the main entrance, this place is huge after all...

What will you do?

Dark Knight felt pretty assured about the bowling alley, but he was a thorough stallion and as such, he wouldn’t allow himself to leave his vigilant patrol over the mall without first investigating the shoe rental. He made his way over to the lit area, blinking as his eyes adjusted and wondering what, beyond shoes, he could find here.
