Kalayo walked slowly down the beach. He paused now and then to stop and watch the waves come in. There was something so magestic about the way the always came in and then rushed out. Being as hot as he was, it wasn't comfortable for him to touch them, but he admired them all the same. His mouth dropped agape when one of those waves came in, but didn't leave again. The rippling blue creature was the prettiest thing he'd ever seen! Karagatan loved hot things. They always tried to get closer, sometimes burning themselves, but unfortunately their coolness always put the heat out. From a young age, they learned they needed to keep their distance. However nothing could stop them when they spotted veriable lava walking along the beach. Slowly the two walked towards each other, entranced, not believing what was before their eyes. When they were about 10 feet apart, they stopped. "You're gorgeous," they spoke the same words at the same time. Kalayo laughed, his cheeks flushing a bright orange. "No no. I am dull and boring. It's you who stands out like a dancing wave." "Not at all. You appear to burn brighter than any underwater lava flow." Karagatan's own cheeks deepening to a dark blue. Each thought the other was far better than themself, but never would they allow the other to talk bad about themself without positively countering with a compliment.
