Morningstar
About: Named by her mother for the morning star before she died after having only her one kit, she felt burdened with being responsible for her mother's death from a young age, something that tended to be reinforced by the colony she lived with before she was kicked out for helping a loner with some prey, the colony had so much it was going rotten so she'd seen no harm in taking some to help the injured loner, sadly the colony killed the loner and banished her. She found a twoleg that took her in shortly after, but while they were good much of the time, they often starved her, or hit out at her when they were angry, so she escaped and other twolegs just chased her off immediately so she fled the twoleg nests, only to be attacked by mean loners as she was trying to survive on her own. She wants to see the good in others, but has been let down too many times, if she ever has kittens She'd probably be FIERCELY protective of kids, be sad when they grow up and leave but she tends to push others away, so she doesnt get hurt so is unlikely to ever settle down with a mate. She CRAVES the affection but she was let down by those she called family in the past, she doesn't want to let anyone in, just to get hurt again so she tends to make herself numb to affection unless its from her kits, if she ever has any.

Howl
About: Howl was raised, at least partially, by an owl, his mother had her litter in an owl's nest, her kits being born on the same day the owl's chicks hatched, the two parents had fought, neither had won so they came to a begrudging truce, any leftovers of the owl, the kits ate, and Howl's mother hunted extra to feed the owl chicks as well, to keep them too full to harm her kits. Sometime during the time the kits were weaned but not able to hunt for themselves, something happened to Howl's mother, she never returned to the owl's nest, at this point the kits had learned to mimic the owl chicks cries, and the owl had grown used to them being there and as such, raised the kits the rest of the way until they began to disperse.
Howl is able to mimic a wide range of owl noises, he prefers to sleep in tree hollows, he learned to swivel his head much like the owls he grew up with, though he's nowhere near as flexible, it's still rather unsettling to others. He has exactly three owl 'friends' these are the owl chicks he grew up with, often he will hunt for them, or they for him and he will protect them from other predators. He very very rarely eats birds, if he is forced to, it will always be small ones like sparrows. He was briefly adopted by twolegs who bestowed him his collar, but it didn't last, the moment they let him outside, he never went back and he stays clear from the twolegs now.
