A small inlet from the river seems almost too perfectly made... Success reveals signs of definite intentional tampering - it seems like this pool is some kind of aquatic pokémon's nesting ground.

As they came across the river Zak pulled out a notebook ready to note down anything important that they may see, as he was always ready to make new notes in his research journal.

"I think there are poliwags around here," Lex said, looking over the stream and bank. It was peaceful at the moment, full of fronds and small bushes. "I think they are rather cute."

Something seems to be stuck just under some exposed tree roots. You find thick vines that end in rounded tips, reminding you of a particular pokemon.Discovery--

"I have yet to catch one myself, but i have seen them around every so often." He replied responding about the poliwags. "They seem quite squishy."

Spotting something in some exposed tree roots Zak went in to take a closer look notebook already open, with pencil in hand to sketch. "They sorta remind me of tangela vines from back home in Kanto" He spoke as he jotted them down.

"Maybe you should eat one and see if they taste the same," Lex said, looking over the light green spaghetti like noodles vines tangled in the roots. Poppy gave a soft noise from his shoulder, her little nose twitching as she sniffed the air curious.

"Or well, I think Poppy will eat it." Lex patted the fusion, gently scratching her chubby cheeks.

"I'm not sure if that would be a good idea," He explained. "It could be an actual pokemon, they are a bit different from the rest of the fauna in this area. I've learned its better to leave things where they are and not to disturb them. We don't want a parent pokemon attacking us out of no where." he spoke from experience.

"Mmh, I guess." Lex looked over the vines and shrugged. Bored he started to explore around in the rushes surrounding the banks, seeing if he could flush something out. Poppy chirpped on his shoulder, craning back to look at the wines, longingly, giving a little whine of desire.

Finished he closed his notebook and stuffed it into his pocket. "Shall we continue to explore?" he questioned, standing up and giving a pat on his charmander's head, debating where they should head to next.

"Of course," Lex clambered back on solid land, shaking some clinging mud from his boots. Gross. "I come out his excited and then I remember I actually don't like dirt that much." He laughed. Poppy chirred in agreement, snuggling against his curls.

"Do you think we will be able to see a Rowlet this exploration? They are beautiful birds, with some big personalities." Lex was hoping to see one. "Well, I'm hoping the personality is more then if it fits, then I eat. If it doesn't fit, I make it fit, and then I eat." He shook his head.

He was fond of his pidove, but Fat Kevin was a glutton.

"Yeah this place can get quite a bit muddy, its due to the river and how enclosed the trees make this place feel like, I think." Zak replied back. "The grasslands is a bit more open and less mud."

"I'm not sure, it took me my second time out before I found out that they lived in this place" Zak replied, though just as he said that one dropped down from the canopy and attacked, quite angry about something.

Patting Zvonimir once more on the head he knew the shy mander did not really care for battle. "Its okay" He told him sofly and threw out Rain Drops Pokeball. "We can let one crazy bird fight another."

Though the two birds exchanged blows the Rowlet just seemed much stronger then the last one he had fought. He withdrew Rain Drop, as the rowlet failed to go down.

"I think we should flee, if Rain Drop can't take it down then none of my other pokemon will."
