If a player succeeds, they can roll their character's DEX + their choice of ball's Catch Score vs the event's difficulty to try and catch one of the now defeated wild Pokémon.
Dexterity 2 + Great Ball CS: 5
(4 in bag as one was used in last expedition and one in prior encounter in this expedition )
7 need 2
Failed. it escaped!

The wurmple came out of the shadows and Tea Leaf quickly launched into action to take it on. Swiping at it the wurmple was hit hard and got knocked to the ground. It used string shot on Tea Leaf and the eevee deftly dodged it. Biting down hard it wasn’t long until the wurmple was defeated and tried to retreat. Wren threw a great ball at it and missed the throw as the wurmple ducked under a tree root and disappeared back into the shadows. Wren finished recapping the honey that had been forgotten and while it’s lid had been put back on before the mayhem it hadn’t been tightened down properly and would have spilled all over her bag if she hadn’t double checked it before putting it away. She was just grateful for Tea Leaf and it’s quick action to protect her. Firefox had tried to get there but it’s small little legs did it a disservice, so Tea Leaf was quicker. She patted Tea Leaf who looked smug and happy. She then cajoled Foxfire who really had tried it’s best, to settle down as it had wanted to go after the bug. She wasn’t going to let that happen. Wren made sure her snack area was cleaned up before she continued onward. The sound was present for wild noises but when it got quieter it became oddly muted. This was something that Wren noticed only in really thick forested areas. It was as though there was a blanket of muffling silence that seemed to drop when someone was in a deep enough thicket of trees. Thankfully the noises of wild Pokémon while a bit spooky were still better then a stifling silence.

On her way she noticed a some very tasty looking berries she knew all so well growing in the shade. She let Tea Leaf and Foxfire have the berries as they had been working hard. She was currently carrying Foxfire so it could keep up and honestly though her hands still stuck it was kind of nice to hold the small shroomish. Tea Leaf seemed so smug. Wren was worried it might be a bit overconfident at this point. She might have to switch it out to give it a rest so it didn’t try and overexert itself. She did end up putting Foxfire back in a pokeball when it was done eating so she didn’t end up dropping it by accident should some bug Pokémon drop down on her. She stretched out and cast a warry eye upwards surprised when something caught her eye. It looked like something stuck up in a tree. It was something manmade. And it didn’t look like a research camera. She looked around for a long stick and played poke-a-thing for a while until she managed to dislodge it. Dropping the stick she caught it while it was falling. She had to laugh it was a repel. Clearly someone had been more prepared then her and brought one out here. Shaking it she realized it was still full. Likely it had been stolen by a bird Pokémon and dropped at some point. That was good luck for her and poor luck for them. She considered using it right away but decided to hold off for a small bit as there weren’t nearly as many bugs as there had been last time. This walk was actually fairly dare she thought it, Nice? She chuckled at the thought that someplace that was full of unknown Pokémon and full of places to get hurt was kind of nice. To be fair though she did like plants more then most people and this place was full of plants. She also liked Pokémon more then most people and other then the bugs dropping on her scaring the life out of her most of the Pokémon in this biome were fascinating and fairly cute. She wished she could have brought Emerald and Saffron out here. They would have loved it. She thought she might move a bit closer to the water and see how the river was fairing at this point in time. It wasn’t a long trek as she could always hear the water with how close she was to it. It was a soft symphony along with the Pokémon noises in the branches above her. She got to the water’s edge and watched for a while as flashes appeared in the depths of the dark water. She knew they were chincou from her last venture out here but right now she could swear they were the small flashes of mini stars in the dark abyss that was the river. It was magical and mesmerizing. She wished someone would paint this mural somewhere in Doveport as she thought it would be an amazing mural.

ooo right forgot have to do things for unusual terrain...
The players discover an unusual feature of the area. Each player may roll one character's INS + Clever vs the event's difficulty. If at least one character succeeds, then the characters document enough information about the feature to help the researchers back at Doveport and gain +1 research at the end of the adventure. Any mention of success only reveals the sort of discovery it is for roleplay purposes.
INS 3
Clever 4
