Checking over torchic, Lang decided that while she wasn't looking too bad, it would probably be a close thing if they fought anything else. He hoped they could find some oran berries or something to help perk her up as they explored.

You would think that carefully scanning the ground in hopes of berries would help Lang keep from stumbling into a patch of briars, but he had thought he'd seen a berry bush just on the other side of it and not watched his step. With a hiss, he winced as he carefully tried to extract himself from the patch. Good thing torchic wasn't in this mess with him or he'd have to return to town to get her patched up.

It hurt more than he thought it would to try and get out of the briar patch. Seems Lang wasn't as careful as he should have been and his clothes and skin both suffered for it. With a noise of disgust, Lang tried to observe the damage and decided that it could wait until he got back to town to try and repair it.

Spotting some bright clustered flowers along a deep crag, Lang debated for a moment or two before deciding to try and fetch them himself. He didn't like the look of the gorge and didn't trust that torchic would be able to get the flowers and back safely. It would be tough, but he'd be careful.
